This thread is hilarious....most of the Spurs fans here are unbelievably bitter. This thread should be led "Official NBA Officiating Thread" because that's about all that's talked about here...

Wade goes for 42 and the Mavs get outrebounded by 15 and still lose by just 2 pts? The Mav are clearly the better team. They just have to close these guys out. They're not as good as the Spurs or Suns...

we has a cable and internet outage in my area. My internet was off for several hours. I missed all of the second and most of the third quarter of the game.
I was listening on the radio which I realized can be really frustrating if the play by play man is not good at it- as this one was not.
I guess God took pity on me because I finally got ABC- the only station which would work- to come in on my television.
I was able to tune in just in time to see Miami come back and Mark Cuban frown. Good times! hehe

That's a big IF isn't it?? It's rare for a team to win all 3 at home in a 2-3-2 format, especially when the Mavs look like . Then they'd still have to win one in Dallas...

I didn't say that Mavs fans have never been bitter did I?? Just that I was enjoying reading the completely one-sided anti-Mavs play-by-play of the game and officiating...
The only home team that has ever won all 3 of the middle games in the NBA Finals is the 2004 Pistons. Road teams have won all 3 of the middle games on several occasions -- I'm pretty sure the 1990 Pistons did it in Portland and I thought the 1991 Bulls did it in LA. But home teams don't turn that trick -- usually because they are the inferior team.
Ugh... guess we should've fouled Dirk harder at the end of Game 7....
It will be 4-2 for Dallas, Miami will win the next game and then goodbye to them.
It wouldn't surprise me if Dallas got Game 4 and Miami got Game 5. I think the Mavericks are kicking themselves for letting that game go and will likely play an inspired and focused game on Thursday. I could then see the Heat fighting back to avoid being eliminated at home, which would set up a Game 6 at AAC, which I'd think Dallas would win.
Dallas is clearly the better team in this series. Yesterday's game, despite the Mavs losing, proved that even more. Miami played the best they could against this team @ home, motivated after losing 2 straight by 10+ points, and they still barely got the job done and needed some choking by Dirk, a miracle shot by Payton, and a super=hero performance by Wade to get it done. Think Miami can do that three more times?

And I love how jerry stackhouse can knock down shaq 2 or 3 times in one game and get the offensive call charge everytime against him. come on, the guy weighs 300 lbs.

the heat didn't play the best they could. did you see the third quarter? i agree dallas is a better team but just because miami came back and won doesn't mean they played their best. neither team has played anything resembling a complete game.
Hard to believe Mav fans could ever complain about the officiating in this year's playoffs. Dirk drives the lane inside of 10 seconds, looking only for a foul with no intention of trying to score and got bailed out again! That is the third time for him in this year's playoffs where he gets a chance to win or tie at the free throw line in the last 10 seconds of a game. Normally the ref swallows the whistle at the end of a game unless a foul is really obvious, but not for Dirk...he always gets bailed out even though he drives in out of control just looking to get fouled. To his credit, he knows he will get the call so good job by him....just keep lowering that shoulder and take it towards the basket...somebody will bump you or hit you...and it's back to the foul line.
I've never in my lifetime of watching NBA playoffs seen a guy get to go to the line in the last 10 seconds of games to win or tie three times in one playoff run.

The Heat didn't play the best they can but I think they played the best they can against these Mavericks. Wade having the best game and it was needed since Dampier neutralizes Shaq. Shaq 16 points to Dampier 14. Unfortunately Terry got sloppy with the ball at the end of the game.
1. Any Mavs fan complaining about officiating is a TOOL...same goes for SPURS FANS...
2. Dirk had no intention of scoring?? WTF?? He got right to the rim...was he about to make a pass??
3. Getting hacked across the arm while going for a layup is getting "bailed out?" They're supposed to let THAT go?? The Heat didn't complain...that's all you need to see right there...

The Finals are boring, the Mavs are too superior. They gave away 13 points in the last 6 minutes? Oh je, now they have to lost the finals. I'am not interessted in the Finals anymore. Without Refs, the Spurs were the real Champions, period.
