Bengals | J. Smith on way out?
Tue, 19 Feb 2008 08:53:00 -0800
Mark Curnutte, of the Cincinnati Enquirer, reports Cincinnati Bengals DL Justin Smith's time with the team may soon be coming to an end, particularly after the team designated OL Stacy Andrews as its franchise player. By choosing to place the franchise designation on Andrews, the team appears to be dropping a major hint that they are moving to a three-lineman defensive scheme and are worried about the health of OT Willie Anderson. Smith was the team's franchise player in 2007, and as a result earned $8.64 million. To use the tag on Smith again this year would have cost the Bengals 120 percent - $10.372 million for one year - of what he was paid last season.

Would Stallworth be a good fit in Dallas?
Are his past injuries a concern?
Yes and yes
I wonder what Mushin Muhammad has left in the tank? His numbers didn't look great in Chicago, but then again, look at who his QB was...
Why would you want him in Dallas? I thought you said that Crayton and Hurd are the next great Dallas wideouts. And of course we all know how much you love T.O. It doesn't appear that there is enough room on the roster.
![]()
I could live with Glenn, Crayton, and Stallworth.
You know I don't like T.O.
I have to live with him because he's a Cowboy.
But, I won't be heartbroken if he were to leave or get cut.
There talking about giving T.O. an extension.
Stallworth would be the , he's a bigger, faster version of Glenn.
I wouldn't be opposed to Jacksonville bringing him in for a visit.
I'll be interested to see who is interested in Javon Walker from the Broncos.
It didn't get much pub because the Broncos sucked, but Walker was a huge cancer on that team this year and they've all but said publicly that he won't be around any longer.
Travis Henry may be gone as well from what I understand.
Also, what is everyone's thoughts on Rod Smith? I know I've asked this before but is he Hall of Fame worthy? My answer is obvious.
IMO, yes.
I've always been a big Rod Smith fan. I think he belongs, but he might have had too low of a profile. He was always overshadowed by Elway or whatever running back was dominating at the time.
All I know is the fact that he was so underrated did wonders for my fantasy teams a few years ago. You always got #1 WR numbers but didn't have to pick him up in early rounds....nobody I played with every caught onto that so I had him every year for about 5 years.
His numbers are better then many of the receivers already in the hall, but then the "era" argument can't be ignored either.

Meh. Clark fits the offense well but I wouldn't say he is a necessary piece for Manning to keep loading up the scoreboard.

Cowboy fan, I promise you don't want Walker and TO on the same team. I'm pretty damn near positive they'll kill each other in a knife fight at mid-field.
i thought this would have read: I hope the Cowboys get Walker so he and TO have a knife fight on the star.
Adios Moss. It was fun having you here but you deserve your big pay day. Sorry the Pats couldn't give it to you. Time to lock up Samuel
I also heard today that Dallas is one of the teams trying to trade for Deangelo Hall, so who knows.
