Today my back neighbor who has parties that keep me up in the middle of the night had her dogs get away from her. I got one back pretty easily but i had to chase down the other one who was playing with some construction workers. I had to carry the dog because it wouldn't follow. So next i'm yelling at her, I must have said excuse me like 8 times. Finally i get the idea to say "did you have another dog" She hears that pretty easily (convenient). Then she realizes that the other one got out, which i had already told her boyfriend, i guess he didn't relay the message. She says thank you and brushes me offNeedless to say i did all that and didn't get any money.
Well you know what? You are a good person, and you did the right thing. You definitely deserved a reward. If it happens again, I think you have every right just to tell her that the dogs are out, and let her deal with it. But you are probably too nice to do that!
