    And bonner....

Thomas can't guard perimiter players either.
They were playing zone..they weren't guarding man to man at the end of the game..how many times do I have to tell you this?

Don't flatter yourself. Fortunately theres a plethora of posters on this board that make up for your own lack of respect.

    Pfftt

I only have lack of respect for people that speak to me like you have.

Definitely got some home-cooking whistles tonight. Won't even try to front. But, the officials let both teams play a lot most of the game. Spurs only got 6 free throws, which is amazing. Pistons got 15 free throws, but four of those were the Spurs fouling on purpose in the final seconds. Duncan should have gotten a couple of calls. There were a couple for the Pistons as well, Ratliff under the rim one time and Tayshaun on a drive could have gotten a foul and a few others. But, like I said, for the most part calls were in the home team's favor. It just wasn't completely lopsided. Refs let both teams play a lot.
Definitely. Duncan didn't get any respect but that has nothing to do with the fact that we lost. Spurs settled for too many jumpers over the course of the game anyway. Like you said, take away the 4 ft's at the end and that's 11-6 Pistons, definitely not a hack fest and I'd rather the refs let them play than call every little ticky tack thing. The Spurs maybe could have gotten one or two more calls but you are right. Congrats on the win

Nonsense. The Church of Tony has resurfaced and is back in full force. We won't let anything derail us.

Well we need Tony to be like this through out the rest of the season!

So you play zone you don't have to attempt to stay in front of a quicker player?

The refs shouldn't be so petty against Duncan. They deserve their karma's payment.

good lord.....and spurs fans say that only mav fans about officiating.

sound like a bunch of pussies right now, get yourselves together.

I agree 100%. Too many people are laying in the fetal position. TIME to get the up and kick some ass and take names. Somethings got to get the Spurs pissed off at some point and then the fire breathing dragon will return. The focus and desire will return. My guess is this will happen near play off time.

Edit: Those first two sentences was a bit harsh and I apologize. This game has got me pissed off. Spurs are better than this. I know they can do it.

Well of course I'm not going to be "nice" to you when you go around and disrespect everyone that disagrees with you. You obviously didn't like how I talked to you so take your own advice about respect. You make everyone sound like they are idiots, how is that in the least bit respectful? It's not.

All I'm going to say is: The Spurs missed their point-blank shots in the 4th, played well enough to win, and once again, like 95% of our losses this season, it's a matter of shots not going down.

We need a jump shooting coach if there is one.
We have one; Chip Englland (sp?)

Why do you say the SPurs settle for too many jumpers? Other than Parker and Manu and Duncan who posts up no other SPurs players can pentetrate. Manu sucked and Duncan didn't well until the end of the game. Of course they will end shooting jumpers. This team is a jump shooting team!

    thought from the game:

TP looks healthy. He looks to have his explosion to the basket back. He carried us for most of the fourth even though it wasn't in the cards tonight.

    R. Horry was active. Blocked some shots out there. Hit a couple threes and hustled on the offensive board.

Manu needs to attack the basket a lot more. Too many careless possessions via either bad shots or turnovers. I'm surprised pop didn't go ape one manu like he did to the refs during the pacers game.

D Stoudemire still doesn't look comfortable out there. 2-10 fg. He isn't shy. But he can't just shoot blindly with defenders in his face even though pop wants him to shoot more.

J Vaughn is a compe or but realistically i'm not even sure he makes the cut in the D-league right now.

Zone was effective but you could tell how much pop hates the zone he when he switched to man in at least one possesion in the fourth (led to the bad foul by TP). This game suited Udoka/Bowen. the NBA for suspending Bowen. The video doesn't lie. CP was just as involved as Bowen. CP gets the benefit of the doubt because he's on the ground. It bull that his streak had to end this way.

Props to RIP for making his fts. He's usually due a miss or two in the clutch. I eat crow on that one.

Philly should brace themselves for an onslaught tomorrow.

Philly just beat this same Pistons team the Spurs just lost to, two nights ago at Auburn Hills. Plus, they've been playing great basketball of late. Tommorow's going to be another tough game for the Spurs.

Good thing I am going to the game though

We do have a lot of one dimensional players, but there comes a time when we have to attack the paint. We don't ever do that enough in games. The Spurs are at their best when we are attacking the paint. That's how you get open looks for three pointers. Maybe if the Spurs tried attacking the paint more they would get better three point shots instead of jacking up 15 contested ones a game.

Pop can't really go ape on Manu because Manu plays with the worst second unit in the Nba.

The Zone was pretty well too..but the Spurs were letting Detroit get a ton of offense rebounds from it..but it's understandible considering we could guard Detroit straight up.

Makes sense, but remember Manu is probably tired or affect with that hit he took last game..and other than Parker no other Spurs player can attack the rim.

I've been saying it for a while now. It's getting to be downright scary just how much contact the refs are letting opposing teams get away with when defending Duncan. In fact, it's becoming more and more blatant that the refs for some reason or another are just letting the calls go.
I think they'll call those fouls for TD more in the playoffs. They just might want to the Spurs to have a really low seed, but I think he'll get more calls in the playoffs. Tim's just got to STAY AGGRESSIVE and keep attacking come playoff time.

He's ok.......he's only helped the likes of Grant Hill, Steve Kerr, and Tony Parker completely transform their jumpshots and make them respectable.

I don't know anything about the Mavs shooting coach. I'll look out for how Jason Kidd is looking and get back to you on that.
