One thing about Philly, their fans are great ing sports fans. They're like Boston and NY but less en led but as passionate and backing their guys.

True but possibly the motivation for Leonard to sign would require the presence of Lebron.

In a personal level I’d rather see Philly than the Celtics contend. Maybe Jabari Young would move back to Philly.

Then all the more value to the C's that they prevent that and of course all the more reason for the Sixers to get a deal done.

Even without Leonard I would go to Philly if the goal was strictly to win a few more rings. They have the youthful parts in place. The Laker players seem to care more about playing off the court than on the court and are way too immature to get anywhere near a ring.
Even beyond their immaturity, they just aren't very good. Embiid alone is better than all the young talent on the Lakers' roster combined. And before anyone brings up that Embiid is injury-prone: Lonzo is already having severe knee issues and he's only played one season in the NBA.

The main barrier to Lebron to Philly is fit on the court. He’s not an ideal fit with Simmons.
Well, there's one way to solve that problem and land Leonard...

Ainge would rather smell his own farts than be serious about this deal.
The alternative is his team's window is closed with LeBron and Leonard down the road in Philly.

He's a dumb tight ass but the math ain't hard.

    Regardless, he'll have to be.

Given Simmons talent, potential, youth, years on a reasonable contract he’s the player I’d be least likely to trade in the NBA.

More to the point, why should LeBron believe that Magic can get Kawhi next year when he just failed to sign Paul George in the same situation? He couldn't even get a meeting

Unfortunately, you're probably correct. But if not, the Lakers are screwed big time . . .

True, but would LeBron want to play with potential as his window closes?

Would Philly be willing to move Simmons (+fillers to make salaries work) for Leonard, if that lands them LeBron?

At least they’ll have cap space to extend Luol Deng.

Anyone on SpursTalk could turn Ben Simmons into a young goat.

But they won't get the chance (neither will Chip).

Laker fans don’t want to part with both Kuzma and Ingram. I don’t know how just one of them would be a fair trade for a 2x DPOY and a Finals MVP. Neither have proven anything.

Boogie should look at what SA did for Rudy and have confidence that he’d be put in a great spot to flourish. He should sign a 1 year prove it deal with the spurs tbh

Nah, the Spurs would have to use Kawhi's docs.
