At this point I'm tired of Murray talking. Show me some improvement. Fans were so pumped about him saying the right things and he was awful in summer league. I just want to see improvement.
that's not a glitch, that's what happens when you have a really low loyalty rating
I still contend that Murray wasn't quite fully healthy during summer league. He only played in two or three of the first games, and even then was on minutes restriction. He also didn't look at all like the Dejounte we saw during the regular season / playoffs last year.
It's not like he went out there and showed something to make the staff say, "Okay, you are ready, we don't need to see anymore" like they have Kawhi and other players in the past. And if he was just struggling, why not let him try to play through it and get better?
The only thing I can think is that the staff knows they will need him with Parker being out, and they didn't want to risk putting him out there if he isn't 100%.
Murray won't improve until he gets proper game time, simple as that.
So, if Tony wants to be back by late November. When do you think he'll start actually practising with the team?
Kyle was the MVP of the summer leagueis totally irrelevant. But still, it woulda be nice to see Murray play well. But we have seen him perform against elite teams, he has talent, he just needs a lot more polish and control to his game
Splitter looking old as . From the Golden God to the Balding God.
It will depend on chemistry for both teams but also, health.
Spurs have a number of xfactors that also cannot be predicted. If they help out it improves the odds.
I knew there was something off about him. Damn.
LMA is the X Factor, if he plays to his full potential we have a great shot at the WCF. If he decides to and pout all season then we're screwed.
Good point
I am inclined to think he's going to be himself, which is and pout. He may stay all season bc no trade is favorable but that doesn't mean he ain't unhappy.
I do think there are other factors that can help in a season that I do expect to have a lot of guys out due to injuries but they aren't meant to replace what LMA can provide.
Splitter's only 32 no chance we sign him?
He's way too young.
It seems that he has a fairly serious hip injury to deal with.
I miss our skilled non ball stopping big men tbh![]()
Gay is the biggest x factor of the season imo. We need him to perform well if we want to defeat any of other top 3 West teams. He's coming off injury, playing a new position, and on a new team. He's the only way we'll be versatile enough to have chance.
I'd say you're both right. There are 5 major X factors I can see - Hit on all five, Spurs could possibly ring, miss on all five and it will be a relatively rough season.
LMA - how will he play, how will he be used, what is his at ude, will he be traded
Gay- how well will he come back from injury that often ends careers, how well will he fit in if he can function
Tony - how well will he come back from a major injury of his own (one that ended Barkley's career)
The Young Guys - will someone out of Dejounte, Davis, Kyle, or Forbes make the leap. Will any rookie actually contribute?
Kawhi - has he hit his ceiling or can he continue to ascend
I have a feeling LMA will be moved before the deadline. Regarding Gay, I hate to say it but I don't think he has much of a career left. I don't see him lasting the entire season. Players just don't come back from those types of injuries.
leonard has not hit his ceiling.
