I feel this has been low key in the works...he wasn’t supposed to ring. But injuries and crazy cir stances changed that. It’s all gravy and Uncle D and Nephew couldn’t have things gone better for them.
He can make history going to the Lakers and winning...truly cement his legacy

Common sense tells me that if Kawhi truly wanted to stay with the Raps, he wouldn't even be considering other "options." ... Just sayin.
I mentioned before that right after he won the chip, in an interview he said he was seriously worried he would have to come back as a 2nd or 3rd option player because he wasn’t sure his leg would hold up and allow being a number 1. He was mentally preparing for it before last season.
To me, if he joins LA, that tells me he knows his days as a 1st option are over because he cannot sustain the level of effort if requires over the course of a season / playoffs. He knows his leg is damaged goods and he has to join a team with LeBron and AD to carry most of the load so he can still look super dominant.
Kawhi isn’t taking a back seat to anybody...
He’s going to the Lakers to take over the throne and in the long run benefit tremendously. Him winning in Toronto already set and changed the narrative.
He’s in sole control of the league right now...his decision will solely impact what direction the league goes. Like at the end of the day what’s Kawhi legacy gonna be? He’s not gonna catch the GOAT status...but stack rings and accolades and see where it goes.
He has a chance to make his resume really unique in a way like the league hasn’t seen. Yeah he MAYBE can do it with the Clippers, but it’s pretty much a sure thing with the Lakers.
Going to the Lakers opens up so many doors to do many potential results it’s incredible.

I think that was always the case. The only pause seems to be the trophy and Raptors spent a year doing literally everything he wanted. But, its just that, only a pause, he's LA bound. Only question is which team.
i'd still be surprised to see leonard with the lakers. stephen a. even admitted that his sources weren't definitive once jalen rose pressed him about how he has heard nothing to support leonard to the lakers. rose insists it is toronto or the clippers. but uncle will make sure to turn it into quite the show.

Here is the thing and this is why it could blow up if he goes. He is a better player than LeBron right now. Without a doubt he is better. So who’s team is it could be an issue? Because I think LeBron’s game has declined. And will be worse next season.
