Parker defends point guards about 23423 times better than Hill does.

I'd love for the spurs to trade Hill for a pick that becomes Singleton or Honeycutt.

backup pg is a need for this team regardless if Hill stays or is traded.

i wouldnt mind a trade with PHX:

    RJ
    Hill

    for

    Childress
    13th
    future pick/throw in

Well, it's been rumored on twitter by a radio guy an hour ago...
I know. There's a lot of rumors out there and I was picking the one I saw as the most realistic.

George Hill is a better defender than Parker, but I would take Parker's defense IQ over George's anyday, how to defende a simple pick n roll..Please Spurs trade George Hill, and get Chris Singleton, or Tobias Harris.

    damn I wanted SJ
I wanted Jack all the way until this year, but I'd much rather have talented youth now. Trading Parker for a lesser vet would be horrible.

The deal we need to make is with Toronto. If we can get Calderon back, there won't be as much slippage at PG as one might think. It actually may be better for the team. He's a pass-first PG, which is what a PG is supposed to be. Obviously the pick is an added bonus and if we could somehow get Bargnani back, wow......... we stacked.

I'm so pissed off that Jackson is now unobtainable. If there was ever a chance to move Jefferson it was for him. But Charlotte preferred Maggette and his stupid contract + 7 over Jefferson's worse play + Hill which I guess would be the Spurs best offer, and I can't blame them.

What does anyone see in Hill's defense besides his long arms? It's hilarious (in a sad way) watching guys like Nash and Ray Allen mercilessly run this guy through screens for wide open shots all day.
Hill is bad at chasing ppl through screen. Parker is no better.

Hill is a better defender when the opponent has the ball.

overall Hill - mediocre defender. Parker - poor defender.

Hill is a much better overall defender than Parker and who doesn't get burned by Nash and Ray Allen? They make young guys in their prime look out of shape and have skills that won't leave til they retire if ever.

Milwaukee's 10th overall pick goes to the Kings, source says.

    chadfordinsider Chad Ford
Hearing Bobcats-Bucks-Kings deal includes Bucks get Beno Udrih and the No. 9 and 19 picks Bobcats.

    chadfordinsider Chad Ford
The Bobcats get No. 7 pick from Sac. & Maggette. Kings will get John Salmons and the No. 10 pick.

You're just full of horrible ideas. Bargnani is like a rich mans Bonner. If they trade with Toronto I'd much rather get a rebounder with some size like Ed Davis. With Johnson and Bargnani already there he could probably be had too.

Why care about getting Jackson if the era is already over? If you think the Spurs have no shot at another run, Buckets is the last player you should want on this team.

I would agree mostly. I think Hill is a good defender, but the key is that he has potential to get much better, whereas Parker is only going to decline even more.

According to this site Hill isn't a point guard. Against the league's best shooting guard the first two times they played Hill was a big part of holding Kobe to 13 of 45 shooting from the field. I'd like to see Parker try that.
Hill can defend one and only one type of player: a selfish guard who wants nothing but isolations. He's phenomenal in that role. Every other type of player he's lousy guarding.

As a Kings fan as well I don't get this trade for them. They couldn't wait to get rid of Salmons before and they're now taking him back? Desperate to get rid of Udrih maybe? He was actually one of the few bright spots last year.

Bargnani is 7' tall. He blocks shots. He stretches it to the 3 as a 7' PF/C. He can put it on the floor. Ed Davis doesn't have the basketball IQ to play for a team like the Spurs.

Parker is pretty good at guarding Luke Ridnour. Just kidding, Ridnour torches him. lol @ Parker's defense.

Pretty simple answer: I want to be able to enjoy watching the Spurs as much as possible, entertainment-wise.

Jefferson sucks the life out of that when he's on the court. So does Bonner.

Even regular season games, watching them just plain sucks.

I would enjoy watching Jackson trot around like old days with the big three, even though he'd be limping and shooting like .167 or some other awful number.

Seeing Jefferson on the court SUCKS.
