No excuse for our guys to play like though especially with the start they had. If the Spurs are serious about repeating, they would get this win regardless.
I agree. Pop needs to solidify the rotation, and give the big three and Kawhi a swift kick in the ass. Trickle down to the bench.

typical player-fan reaction, smh... you could've said all that without having to take a knock on Kawhi, tbh...
Yep a disgraceful and embarrassing post.
Seeing how easily Irving and now Monte have gone off on us, and how TP isn't getting any back-up PG help, is very disturbing. I can see Curry averaging 40 ppg against us in the playoffs.
Ricky calls out the Mavs. They play at home. Spurs got fat after the Hawks win. Spurs lose. Predictable.
Mav fans are ignorant bags in many cases.
ISO chuck it monkeyball will translate into a short playoff for the Mavericks.
The Spurs had a chance to put the Mavericks away and just farted around in the second quarter.
I am sick of the re Monta Ellis palming the ball EVERY time he makes a move. It's a joke.
Dallas basically tries to slap a team together year after year and was lucky enough not to fail once - of course it helped that Manu Ginobili broke his elbow that year.
Mavies are frauds really.
He's had spotty stretches before, as far back as the Finals in 2005 in game 4. He's still very important to the team, he's not causing problems. Errors needs to go. I give Tony the benefit of the doubt because he's paid his dues time and again, but Tony isn't the Tony we need him to be.
The truth of the matter is that this team is a system run team. There is no great individual talent. It's as if the team is one player, and when that one player isn't feeling right, he doesn't play well. Some other teams that play more isoball, those guys can have someone step up and carry the load on offense while the rest of the team struggles, because it's not hard for 4 guys to stand around and watch. The Spurs motion offense is predicated on every single player on the floor doing what they are supposed to be doing, when they are supposed to be doing it, every time down the floor. It's not happening, so it makes good players look poor since there are not that many "better best" moments on offense. On defense, I see a couple guys cranking it up and the rest just mailing it in. I saw KL make a brilliant move to keep Ellis from going around a pick, forcing him down the lane. Tim and Boris just stepped out of his way and watched him run right by. Don't want to risk fouling him. The help defense wasn't there, to say the least.
You'd hope a team like that doesn't just take nights off when they're not on a b2b, but it looked like they were doing that tonight. They just lost interest once the Mavs got up by 10 or so.
If a song plays out, then a career in something as mundane as basketball must also play out eventually. Even great music plays out, you get tired of it. You cannot watch the same movie countless times. You cannot play the game of basketball forever and be just as enthusiastic about it as you were in the beginning, at least if you have a high IQ. Low IQ types seem to remain just as focused putting the same nut on the same bolt for 35 years, never once questioning what came before or after their station. Tim isn't one of those. He cannot be that interested in playing still. Interested in the team, sure. Interested in basketball, perhaps. Interested in earning money, absolutely, but interested in playing like it's important every single night? Probably not. He'll never say that though, nor will any of them except Pop. Pop will say that the game grows tiresome.
Maybe it's time for new blood on the throne.
Well, he's no longer making basketball analogies to Obamacare so it's an improvement from his usual garbage.
Oh okay and I agree fully with you there.

Monta is a punk. He was ing about having Chandler Parsons making $17M per year and he makes $8M. When Jim Carrey calls them out as selfish dogs, Monta Ellis plays like a selfish dog.
The Mavericks will go nowhere. This was a game of desperation where their coach called them out and the Spurs played it like one of 82.
I have never been a "player-fan", whatever that is. El Nono I can't believe you are becoming one of Harlem's butt-boys. How sad. The "knock" on Kawhi is 100% accurate. He is not consistent on offense. Pop agrees and has said so. So....believe you or Pop?
You know a true player fan by the guys who make threads simply to bring down one player (to prop up their guy). Defending a player is one thing, but constantly ragging on a guy (especially one who's been playing great lately) is another level of insecurity.
"Not consistent" is not the same that taking a swipe at him. And no, he's not been the centerpiece on offense, he's not even top 3 in FGA for the Spurs this season. He's been by far our best defender all season long, covering a lot for those old asses that you referred to in your post. He has a bigger role and he's learning.
I agree with the hating being stupid, but you don't need to drag other players down to back it up. When Tony plays well, I've been first in line to praise him. When he plays bad, like tonight, well, some people will certainly bring it up...
Actually, this whole 'Tony hate' meme is nothing, nada compared to the vitriol over Gino after the 2013 Finals...
The playoffs are around the corner, and I believe in Tony. I think if his speed is there, he can be effective.
1.) The Tony hate has been way worse. It is literally the only topic discussed here anymore.
2.) Tony didn't singe-handedly cost us a championship.
