You'll know when the time comes

If the organization isn't actually making newspapers, they're not really the press because they're not pressing anyting therefore freedom of the press doesn't mean anything anymore unless you're actually making newspapers using a physical press.

Just calling yourself a news agency should not give you any cons utional rights to say whatever you want unless you use a physical press.
Did you find that analogy profound CC?

What was the purpose of the press at the writing of the cons ution? What was the purpose of a militia at the writing of the cons ution? DMC’s analogy is as usual.

Glad he figured out his primary accounts password tho senile old apparently forgot it for a week or so...

The funny part of this is the fact that Blake is so dumb he lobbed this one right down the middle of the plate without knowing that this would be the response.
It's a white flag. No surprise, tbh.

Can't these 3D make a gun yet? These printers are getting better - I read that they can build a house from it. What's the use of background checks and gun laws then? Are they going to outlaw 3D printers?

    These things are enormously expensive.
The real problem is material that the 3-d printer lays down in 3-d. It's very expensive, takes a long time, and is limited in type (mostly plastics) They are coming out with some metal powders to make 3-d metal parts but it's less expensive to just machine them.

not overly expensive. my printrbot simple was $900 and filament pla is like $30 a spool. would take estimated like 8 hours to produce such a piece. really depends. i see better printers these days at a 3rd the cost. plus there's better options than pla at the moment but i rarely use my printer if at all so i never explored those other filaments.

You have plastic spools... They are really used for model making. The metal powders, that are really important for long use items, are prohitively expensive. So are the printers that can handle them. Plastics are really cool, but they are short lived in many machines.

indeed you're right on all accounts here.

a buddy of mine that makes my everyday tools has a $100K cnc machine in his garage. his garage is practically taken up by that machine. it's expensive and huge no doubt. he used to machine everything himself but now he can turn out product faster than he ever could imagine before.

Anyone want to talk about this living strawman that I just found?
Strawman? Many people are arguing for that.

I'm not sure how well regulated these guys are but

You should know by now that I won't click on stupid links just to follow your breadcrumb trail to the next extreme example of you trying to make a point.

Read about the Battle of Gonzales.

But since 90% of the respondents to that poll said that they were in favor of these gun laws, why don't they just voluntarily give up their firearms and then 90% of the people should be disarmed if that poll is truly representative of the general population?

Cameron Kasky who agreed to a live debate over his conflicting views over gun reform with fellow Marjory Stoneman Douglas student Kyle Kashuv, has pulled out of the deal citing "personal reasons." ()

So because these kids who are not old enough to own a gun and not responsible for their own safety of course have for some reason important takes on cons utional rights and safety because they were traumatized? I don't want to minimize their suffering mentally however it doesn't mean they are the voice of reason. Traumatized people are rarely the voice of reason.

No. Were you pinging them for their opinions prior to the shooting? Why did they suddenly become so important?
