Atlanta still can't find a new home for John Collins. Wild that after everyone's disappointment that we got the wrong Collins, Zach has more trade value than John right now.

Spurs are tanking fine without Forbes stealing development minutes from Branham or Wesley. Don't need to see teary eyed Pop rub Bryn's shoulders after garbage plays any more.

I was gonna say this the other day… I think the spurs should do a lot to get Wiseman, warriors giving up way to early

*** but if a team like the pistons are offering Saddiq Bey idk what deal the spurs could be offering that beats that because I’m not trading any of our key youngins

Well, the good news is the Pacers should just about be out of cap space. That'd leave the Spurs as the only team with notable room in the final two hours before the trade deadline. We'll see if anyone gets desperate ....
It basically boils down to that, desperation, but the way things are going Im' not even sure anyone would offer more than SRPs to save money, not even if spurs take some players back. Well see...

Nice. The Spurs didn't want Wiseman for Poeltl but I'm sure Wiseman would be tempting in a salary dump. Unless they think he's an unsalvageable bust, it'd be easy to justify giving up a Raptors or Heat second rounder for him, tbh.

Imo, Wiseman literally doesn't know how to play basketball, but his deal expires next year and wouldn't burden the Spurs at all.

If we could get another one of their youngesters with Wiseman, I'd gamble, why not. It's not like Collins or McDermott are our future.

What does the context for the Lakers' or Dallas' trades have to do with the very real point Poopbox was trying to make, though? Both teams were clearly aware of the situation they were putting themselves in when they pulled those trades; it's unrelated to us what happens with them. The fact remains that those 2nd rounders got the trades done, when without them, other teams' comparable offers might've seemed better.

Second round picks are as far from " ing useless" as bishops on a chess board - only bad to those who don't know how to utilize them.
Denver just displayed how utterly ing useless they are to them. Denver just traded **a player AND THREE 2ND ROUND PICKS** to the Lakers for Thomas ing Bryant who is on an expiring contract, lol. Maeeeeybe the Lakers can move up several spots from the bottom of the 1st into the low 20s or high teens with ALL those 3 seconds. Obviously Denver is not expecting much out of them being they'll likely be at the bottom half of the draft for the next few years.

Example. Say Lakers get Pelicans swap and draft somewhere around the lottery this year. Those 3 2nd round picks have next to no value in substantial draft ascent at that point. They only matter around the edges. And the higher the starting point the less value they carry.

BTW, did you read any of the article I posted before posting this, "only bad to those who don't know how to utilize them?" The article basically gives context that 2nd round picks have historically been misused and dont generate the value reciprocity in r eturn. There's no GOAT in 2nd round picks. There's only slight movement in the first round. And ultimately someone has to use those 2nd round picks. And the overwhelming majority don't even make it 3 yrs in the league.

I repeat: 2nd round picks are OVER- ING-RATED on this board.

Too much chatter on Twitter around having to GIVE UP something for Wiseman. If Detroit has interest in his as well, I'm afraid that prices him out of play.

The only Wiseman deal I'm interested in looks like this:

Spurs get: Wiseman + unprotected FRP
    Warriors get: $110k

The Warriors really need to dump Wiseman and get nothing back, and we're the only team who can make that happen.

It's not because you repeat it, that's its gonna make it any truer, just saying.

And I'm sure the Bucks are happy SRPs got them Crowder.

That they traded him? He seems to be full of himself.
