i saw your post that you think he's cool...i think he's alright as well, one of the better suns fans along with amare_32. doesn't mean i'm not going to call him when the homer in him comes out. wait until the suns lose again, the *other* guy will show up and start whining about dirk and the officiating, blah blah blah

[ronmexico]All mavs fans are idiots. They make excuses for every loss. Dirk is a choker. The refs give them every call or they would be the worst team.[/ronmexico]

I'd like to ins ute a 24-hour rule between us so we don't run into the ground like the Spursfolk do. Sooooo, shortly after 11:15pm CST tonight, this talk should start to die until we near April 1st.

But until then - Ron Mexico and his team.

    Harris will play Friday night.
George won't see significant time until they're sure he's ready and he surely won't play on the 2nd night of any B2Bs.

oh right, because most people don't know about sir charles and his games against mj. this is where you're definitely wrong. actually, most people will remember that finals series before they remember last night's game. most people will remember loudmouth charles and ALL his antics before they remember last night's game. thanks for helping me prove my point from earlier today

the homer in you is starting to show. you can stop frothing at the mouth now.
I have no idea to what fued you're referencing, but I'll be honest, I figure close to half that post on this board probably were under six in 92-93, so therefore many probably don't remember, if know much of anything at all about Barkley's Suns getting trounced by Jordan's Bulls. It's nothing they could help, but I'm quite sure many here are under 20 years of age, including several Suns and Mavs posters.

What this has to do with this topic, or my original post mentioning 92-93? I have no idea. I was letting Clutch know I had experienced the NBA Finals (I was 14 at the time). , I remember when the supremely talented Suns of 1990 finally beat the Lakers, advancing to the Western Conference Finals, only to lose to an injured and undermanned Portland team.

My point was harmless. Completely. Only to mention I do have a "Finals" history with the Suns. I wasn't trying to prove anyone wrong.

Still, I have no doubt that a significant number of posters (namely Suns/Mavs) are probably 20-and-under and therefore have very little memory of anything pre-1996 or so... Several of whom have posted within this thread. They may deny being so young, but I can gather differently from their overall post content and at ude towards basketball. Those who have a sense of history have a substance to their posts that some just lack.

Kind of like that Old e commercial. "If you want it, you must have it. To have it, you must have wanted it. To get more, you have to have had some in the first place, but if you have none, then you can't get that first bit to get started"... and whatnot. It's nonsense. See, I mentioned earlier in this thread I was fried... Now, can't I decompile in peace?

Those who don't have "it", we just know.

"It" in this case being a sense of basketball pre-Jordan's 1st unretirement. , there's some that post here I'm not certain have a sense of basketball pre-Jordan's 2nd unretirement.

don't worry about it, i mostly agree with what you wrote. my post was for ronmexico, in reference to a disagreement we had last night over how stained in the memory of nba fans that game would be a year from now, a couple of years from now, etc.

Finals are always remembered longer than regular season games, unless something tragic happens. Even then... I'm sure I've seen umteen "greatest regular season games ever" in my life. I couldn't tell you the previous past a few years ago. It's just how it is. You remember the stage and then the performance. In many ways, the stage defines the performance.

I didn't say ponky, mavsfan1000, strech, and Shank didn't know about the early 90s Suns... I was just talking about those select few who thought Mark Cuban brought an NBA franchise to Dallas... and a Dairy Queen....

Trust me - there are just as many bandwagon Suns fans out there (aka on all the Suns message boards) that drive me completely nuts and wouldn't know Eddie from Kevin Johnson, Jeff Hornacek from Dan Majerle, Mark West from Andrew Lang, or Tim Kempton from Tim Perry (note how I included all 3 guys who were traded for Barkley in that list... I'm so witty)

In fact, that's why I post here because I'd feel sacreligious fighting with my own kind, so I might as well debate with fans of other teams... at length, I might add. Kind of same reason I don't post on Aggie message boards because they make me want to drive a stake through my eye.
