For you farmers balking at the idea of trading Kiwi in a Brandon Ingram package:

BI still only 20 years old too.
Kawhi was playing in the WCFs his first year, Finals his 2nd year, and Winning FMVP his third. those guys.

They’re saying Fultz is off limits so that when they eventually offer Fultz it seems like they’ve made a big concession. Gtfoh

You've have to be legit ing re ed to think that Jaylen Brown or Fultz would be off the table even if it's for a 1 year rental of Kawhi ing Leonard
Are these in teams serious? We just need to offer Kawhi the supermax tbh

Kawhi did that in a winning program without free reign to shoot or play 1 on 1 ... Don't know enough about Giannis. Can't say it won't happen with BI, but not expecting a similar leap ...

Throw in Zaire as well, Brettttttttttttttttttt. Let's gooooooo
This. If I'm San Antonio and I'm considering trading Kawhi to Philly then I'm asking for Smith, the pick from Miami, Sairic, Covington, and Fultz. Philly will say no, but you're letting them know you ain't messing around. They are essentially trying to get two top five players with this trade.

Two top 3 players if Kawhi is 100% healthy at this stage like his camp leaked.

Kawhi needs to stay. Spurs need to get rid of Mills, Pau, and Green and go after LeBron

    • In the deal for Leonard, include Markelle Fultz, Robert Covington, and Jerryd Bayless, then an additional $5.79 million in outgoing salary that could come in different forms.

It’s unclear who the Spurs would want. But Sixers draftee Zhaire Smith, a high-flying 18-year-old wing from Texas Tech, met with the Spurs prior to the draft, so he could be one player involved. There’s a hint of Leonard in Smith: He’s raw and athletic with lockdown defensive ability, yet also shows flashes of go-to-scoring upside if his jumper improves. If I were the Spurs, I wouldn’t accept a deal unless Smith were in it with the other asset the Sixers acquired in a draft-night trade with the Suns: Miami’s unprotected first-round pick in 2021.

To be perfectly clear, the Philly package would be 50 cents on the dollar for Kawhi. But it's a of a lot better than two ing nickels in Brandon Ingram and Kyle Kuzma that the Lakers are offering

Send Kawhi to a Lebron-less, empty Lakers team void of talent (after you pick clean Ingram, etc from them) and he'll be stuck with probably just Boogie Cousins
Yes, exactly this. Said this yesterday. Would be sweet justice, and just what they requested.

Kawhi was playing a role on a playoff team lead by veterans like Timmy, Tony, and Manu. Ingram was the best player on a really bad team. Get real.

You know damn well Ingram is never going to be anywhere near what Kawhi is

Who's to say that he hasn't already decided on Philly and is meeting with them to hash out details?
He's not meeting with Philly at all, his reps are. You can't meet someone face to face, you have no intentions of seeing them at all.

Fultz/RoCo/Saric/Miami pick is the baseline tbh. It's up to the Spurs if they want more but I absolutely believe Philly would offer that baseline deal right now no question.

Zaire Smith and an extra pick would be icing.

Even if LeBron ends up signing in LA, i still see Philly offering that baseline deal just to secure the East from Boston.

I need all 3 and then some. I’d try to squeeze their ‘20 unprotected 1 as well.

With Smith I agree that's the deal to do. Would give the Spurs an interesting amount of assets.

LeBron already said before free agency that he's not meeting with any team face-to-face.

They aren't gonna give up Simmons. That's LeBron's boy. Covington, Saric, Miami's 2021 is the base, then you ask for Smith/Fultz/more picks. Spurs would have then Mills/Parker(?)/Walker/White/Murray/Fultz/Smith. That's a logjam, so you can trade the excess for more assets. But before you close in on a deal with Philly you check if the Celtics and Lakers wanna step in and make a desperate offer.

Spurs can max Kawhi at any time. We don't need to take anything.
