You speack as if being injured isn't part of the normal nba athlete life...and you compare obvious different situations. Spurs have their doctors but have given to Leonard and his group full control of his medical situation. The fact is that also nba doctors could't find anything relevant...then Spurs decided not to go the hard way and have maximum confidence in his staff behavior...bad mistake? maybe...but the only sure thing is that nothing on the medical aspect can be put on Spurs shoulders...the simple fact that n° 2 played this season is evidence that his situation was manageable...but he decided, with his group, to fool the organization that was paying him...

Imo his uncle wants him to join the Lakers, but Kawhi still wants to win and Lakers can’t get enough commitment from other caliber players for minimum. So it’s 4 players and D-League is no good for him and his brand. Anything less than a championship is a bust tbh

Because all of your fellow star players are buddying up, and teaming up to win chips the easy way. So you will be this lone wolf left ringless if you have that sort of at ude. Agreed. I hope Silver will make an adjustment in the rules to prevent this. It won't be easy though. The players seem to support the freedom to shape rosters in ways that go way beyond a superstar being consulted by management about acquisitions and trades. The same medical staff that misdiagnosed Karl Malone's knee injury and rushed him to recovery too soon, ending his career during the NBA Finals(sound familiar to Durant). The same medical staff that are risking the life of Ingram(who has blood clot problems) by clearing him for basketball activities just so they can trade him for A Davis. The same medical staff that caused Lebron to miss 25+ games for the first time in his career(he played 82 games last season). The team whose youngsters are all injury prone for some mysterious reason. What does it say about their medical staff when even their youth players don't trust their doctors? Lonzo Ball had to sneak out and fly across the country to have a second opinion on his ankle and have a potential operation. Lakers got wind of this and threatened to void his contract and dragged his ass back to LA.

Yeah agreed, just when the league is looking exciting again. Right now there are several teams with a chance to win, if Kawhi goes to Lakers all that's over and we are in for another season where the winner is known before the season even starts. That sucks for the nba, but since it's Lakers and the ratings will be huge, Silver and co are probably loving it..

I'll get some respect back for Kawhi if he refuses to team up with Lakers, at least he'd be one star who wants to prove he's the best by competing against the rest. It's looking like he's as made as the others though..
