Until I was 7, I grew up in Ohio and I totally remember that show! RashoFan, didn't the opening or something have them all going down a giant slide?
Wasn't Zoom on back then too?
I also remember watching The Electric Company.
"Write ZOOM, Z-Double-O-M, Box 3-5-0, Boston, Mass 0-2-1-3-4: send it to ZOOM!"
Hey, what the was the name of the deal the kids would do with their arms like some kind of egg beater?
I vaguely remember Zoom. It started in 1972 and we moved to Europe in 1973, so I probably didn't watch much of it.
I was a big fan of the Jackson 5 cartoon.
As a young student in the Northside Independent School District in the late 1970's, each school day began with 30 minutes of Captain Kanagroo and 30 minutes of The Electric Company (which was in reruns, I think). Hearing the Electric Company opening recently -- which is still lilting through my head -- took me back to my First Grade class at Leon Valley Elementary school and that whole experience. It was very surreal.
Because my teachers were older, we always got to see the beginning of the show that followed the Electric Company, too. In first grade, I'm pretty sure it was Zoom (may have been in reruns, too). In 2nd grade, I think it was a show called Villa Allegre (I think), which had some sort of Tex-Mex approach to teaching kids in Spanish and English.
The Electric Co. had quite a list of people who were on the show!

They did go down a slide ( a large one that had lots of waves I think? Does this sound familiar?) And I vaguley remember them driving bumper cars but could have been go karts.
Zoom, Zoom, Zooma Zoom...was also on as well as The Electric Co.
Ok...I got one...S y and everyone else...
Does anyone remember a saturday morning tv show that had large birds on rollerskates. They would skate around a treehouse set and had shown an ongoing adventure story about a birdman. Which I think might have something to do with HAWK that showed up on Buck Rogers in the 25th century show..
