Predict in 100% Pop fashion, he will dictate who replaces him.
Said person will not be what is best for the Spurs, and very possibly continued similar suckage level as himself.
The selection will be all about him.

Now can plenty change between now and 4.5 years from now?
    Lets hope so.
By similar suckage do you mean he's going to have the most wins of all time, 5 rings, or most consecutive playoff appearences? Pop should've taken that mic and roasted you dweebs even more.

He's got a great feel for the game. I always felt he'd be a great coach.

0/10 A coach needs great players but some have them and don't win. You still need to coach.

Agree. Basketball is the least reliant on coaching for success but there are lots of great players who couldn't overcome bad coaching.

I actually think baseball managers may have overtaken NBA coaches for uselessness, because everything is now analytics, but it's probably close.

It's closer because of that, but I'm of the opinion that all sports are a distant second to basketball. Finals MVP is almost always a superstar. I can think of like three in my lifetime that weren't.

He will not be Spurs coach 5 years from right now, but I wouldn't count on him leaving before this 5 year deal is up.
To be fair he’s not coaching right now either

Could it be the year of Tupac?

The same year the Tupac murderer was located the next coach to lead the Spurs to a Championship will be located?

Not a lot. Dumars and Parker are still all-star guys. Even Iggy is better than you think if you look at his résumé.

He was a good player, and I think he made one ASG in Philly. He was like the ultimate connector.

why would Steve Kerr leave his legend status with Golden State to start over in SA?
cause the Dubs are trash and Steph is 35. Won't take long til he retires

He's not going anywhere. He's in a great situation, with the complete backing of his organization. That's the coaching equivalent of Nirvana. Besides, most top coaches will not want to be 'the guy that replaced Popovich'.
Of course we do but he is not leaving Miami to come here imo
    Spo isn’t leaving Miami.
Jimmy Butler is 34 and Miami FO hasn't done a great a job giving Spo talent to work with. how could he not be thinking about coaching a "generational talent"?
He wouldn't be replacing Pop, Pop lost it a long time ago. Spo would be entering a situation with Wemby where he could become one of the all time great coaches.
and if he wants, he could ride that success until he's 70+ years old and senile.
