LMAO Skin fan your team will be fighting it out for third at best.
I don't know about that. The Cowboys are clearly the favorites. But like anybody else, they are only a couple of injuries and/or disappointing performances from rejoining the pack.

The Giants were red hot in January last year. But people forget that this was only a 10 win team (and they got spanked on their own home field by Washington in late December). If they don't stop Ladell Betts on a 4th & goal from the one yard line in Week 3, Coughlin likely gets fired before they have a chance to turn it around.

It sounds weird to say it about the Super Bowl champions, but I still think they've got a lot to prove before you automatically pencil them into the playoffs again. If they went 7-9 next year, it would far from shock me.

Stay classy Houston. If you don't think Romo has good feet and escapability, then you are either blind or just stupid.

There has always been a real inferiority complex in Houston by Oilers or now Texans people regarding Dallas. Its been that way forever - kind of like the little brother being jealous of the big brother being successful.

Nice draft pick for David Carr, huh - 1st pick in the draft? Dallas gets a better quarterback in the undrafted Free Agent market. That draft pick set the Texans back YEARS.
SO getting sacked 24 times doesnt mean anything? Did I say he is not a runner or didn't have good escapability? NO all I did was laugh. I happen to think he is pretty avg. with his QB scrambling, but to say he has crafty footwork is a reach. It is funny to see you cowgirl fans getting your panties in a bunch though. Yeah yeah lets bring up old and the Texans former #1 pick. Yeah what about your QB of the future in Q? What is he doing now? For your info that draft pick wasnt entirely the reason why the Texans were set back, it was because of Casserly sorry ass GM skills and Dom Capers sorry coaching job. Yeah carr sucks now, but he really wasnt that bad. He had a horrible line to work with and that pretty much killed him and his career. I see what you mean about the Houston fan base vs the cowboys fan base. Yes a lot of Houston fans hate and consider the Cowboys a rival, when there really isnt. I don't consider the Cowboys a rival, I just hate the y asshole swagger that most cowboys fans carry. They are right up there with Yankees and Lakers fans and maybe its because of the success, who knows. Its because of that, that I wish nothing but bad things on the Cowboys. If you want to say stay classy?? Read back and see who brought up the Texans in the first place......yes a cowboys fan. If I would have laughed and said Sage or Matt are better qb's then ok there you go. Fact of the matter if TSA would have said the same thing about Rivers, or if JT would have said that about Payton, I would have laughed just the same. It was a stupid comment, bottom line!!

Hate on the fans all you want, but saying you hope Romo blows his knee out is bull . I expected better from you.

Btw, Romo does have crafty footwork, even if you choose not to believe it.

LOL yeah I know that was just a stab at Ofactor, nothing more. I really don't wish injury on any player.

If you were to say Mcnabb has crafty footwork then yeah ok. Like I said Romo's footwork is avg or slightly above avg at best. Then again this is just my opinion just how its others to think he does.

Who's footwork is better? If his is slightly above average then there must be about 6 or 7 QB's int he league who are better than him.

Mcnabb, Young, Gerrard, Campbell, Jackson, Roethlisberger. Do not get mistaken however, this isnt saying they are a better overall QB than him.

I think there is a difference between a mid 2nd round pick and the first pick in the draft regarding expectations. I would hope you would to, but given you lack of intelligence about football, I'm not so sure. By the way, Q Carter was drafted in 2001, before Carr (an '02 draftee), so now you are the one bringing up old s*** aren't you.

You say the Texans were not any good because their coach couldn't coach and their GM could not draft well. Gosh, that sounds like a pretty big problem to me. When you have the #1 pick in draft and are drafting for the first time, it is a huge setback to not get good production out of him regardless of the reason. Carter was a 2nd round project and yes a mistake as well, but not nearly as big a mistake as Carr. Carr was pretty bad on the whole, BTW.

You know someone doesn't have an informed take on something when they go the old "cowgirl" route in their comments.

I think you're the one who gets her panties in a wad when someone challenges you, like I did. You really rambled for awhile, didn't you.

Your opinions are pretty lame from what I've seen.

If you check your stats, I bet a number of your so called better scramblers were probably sacked more often than Romo, so the 24 sack thing is not the whole story about scrambling ability anyway.

i think some words are being misused here as well. when it comes to 'footwork' - Tom Brady & Peyton Manning are at the top of the list, and it's not particularly close. there, I'd buy Romo being below average (his drops can be pretty sloppy at times, but he has the athletic ability to make up for it).

when it comes to scrambling, Romo is near the top of the list. I really like Jason Campbell's potential, but from what he is displayed to date, it's laughable to put him above Romo in that category. He is very strong and can run through the occasional arm tackle when plays break down and he needs a first down. But if he wasn't black, nobody would ever call him a scrambler.

Well Harry, Tom Brady had the lowest sack total last year. One of the lowest total in modern NFL history. If one had Atrains brain, one would think Tom Brady is an amazing scramblers one of the best ever

I agree. Romo does have average footwork but a very good scrambling ability. When he scrambles it reminds me of seeing Steve Young get out of sacks back in the day.

This is coming from a lifelong Cowboy hater.

Oh and the David Carr pick did set the Texans back for years. Passing up Julius Peppers and Tony Boselli's career ending injury without ever having played a snap are a couple of reasons the Texans have been . Bringing in Rick Smith and Kubiak are steps in the right direction but they still have a way to go.

I don't have to wish that on Matt Shaub, that pussy gets injured putting his pads on.

Gerrard is not more mobile than Romo.
    That's just re ed.

    Roethlisberger is slow as .

McNabb doesn't even have any knees left.

Young is a good argument, and Campbell is plausible.

But, you're just re ed making a statement like that.

I agree totally with KSS and how he phrased 'Footwork' versus scrambling. Brady and Manning rarely get sacked but are not scramblers. Dan Marino was really good with very quick feet IN THE POCKET. He couldn't run but he could avoid sacks like Brady and Manning. Those guys have 'footwork'

TR is a good athlete/scrambler and is able to get out of sacks a lot of the time by juking and jiving and running. His QB mechanics sometimes get lost in the shuffle. Aikman, OTOH, was like a machine in the pocket trying to get the ball out as quickly as possible.

Are you serious? What NFL do you watch. Romo is far more crafty at scrambling than ALL the above mentioned except for Vince Young.

When I said Romo had crafty footwork, that was in obvious reference to his scrambling ability(See .gif I posted). A QB's footwork is in reference to how he manipulates the pocket and how it is an important component to ball delivery and accuracy. Something Peyton and Brady do very well.

I posted a Romo interview in the Cowboys Off-season thread where he talks about foot work in the pocket and how he has been really working on and concentrating on footwork this past off-season. As a study tool, he has been studying tapes of Tom Brady's footwork.

I'm disappointed in you saying you wish Romo gets hurt. Thats some right there. And the fact that said "just kidding" AFTER everyone bashed your for your stupid comment means there was/is truth behind it.

So you think Romo is only average in scrambling ability??? Why don't you watch more football and rid the NFL forum of your ignorance.

The fact that you even talk about the Cowboys in the Club forum tells quite a bit. It further proves your jealousy. Get over it, because the swagger is going to be here all season long......... .

So the Dolphins got a 2nd and 6th round pick to loan Taylor out for one year, then get him back for peanuts. I don't know if this makes the Phins look brilliant or just makes the Skins look dumb as again.

Taylor takes less money for Miami return

Jason Taylor danced with the stars more than a year ago, but he sacrificed more than $7 million this year to stay close to his family and play football in Miami.

Taylor agreed to a one-year, $1.1 million deal Wednesday with the Miami Dolphins. The move allows him to stay at his Miami home with his wife and three children. It also allows him to rejoin an organization he considers to be an extended part of his family.
