Yes, Spanoulis had a very good game. He passed well, had very nice handles, got to the rim and played good defense. Spain just had too much depth at the big man position and the guard positions.
What about Fernandez and the Gasol's ??

Not really, nobody on Greece is playing well. He had a few good moments but also made a few really dumb moves.
Oh and FIBA refs suck, they reward flopping way too much and are incapable of counting to three (steps).
Spanoulis had to take some bad shots and such because he was not getting any help and his team was in a hole. He had a solid game, but did make some bad decisions.
The game was physical and you could get away with quite a bit of contact and traveling.
Fernandez had a solid game. He scored well, was quick off the dribble and at least showed a willingness to defend. He is a bit of a show boat and did take some terrible shots early, but then he settled as the game progressed.
Marc Gasol was less than impressive, he is not as agile as I thought, but he does run up and down. Did not show any good low post moves, most of his shots were wild. He did not defend that great either, but rebounded ok. Pau had a decent game, some nice turnarounds and passes, typical Pau game.
That was the first Marc Gasol game I have seen live, so I am not sure if it was just a sub par game or the norm.

My comments (and that of the others int his thread) were about today's game. And while Spanoulis was the best player on the Greek team, it was a case of being the least horrible player on a team. He also had his share of bonehead plays.
If you can't admit that your lover had a sub par game, then I suggest you cancel your internet subscription, sell your TV set and avoid any news stand by a wide arc. Use the savings to buy yourself some new lingerie and live happilly ever after sucking Vspan's balls.
Slomo: You really think Spanoulis played that bad? I thought he got a little worse as the game wore on, but over all he did well for being the main focus. If you look at his skill set he showed you a little bit of everything: penetration, ball-handling, steals/defense... I thought his game looked worse because he got frustrated into taking bad shots to try and pull his team out of a growing hole.
Yes for his standard it was sub par game and he was still best player on court. Maybe if you had brain you could understand how dumb this make you look when you keep say he suck all the time.
That was the first time I ever said VSpan sucked, and as you admited yourself I did in relation to a game in which he did suck. Do yourself a favor and STFU.
He was the best player for Greece, not the best player on the floor.
