Make sure you don't use too much TP, your house might get fire bombed if you do.

Terrible night. Can't believe how all of this unfolded. Seems like a bad dream. Up by 20, then CP3 gets hurt and the team folds. What a way to ruin my night. Feel like jumping off a bridge right now. Portland are acting like they did something amazing. What a joke.

    The happened in this thread?

We're calling the fanbases of the teams names???

Jesus Christ, now I remember why I stopped coming to SpursTalk. Luckily for the THE FIRST ING THREAD I click on is a great example of the dialogue here.

I came to comment on how Portland got lucky, and didn't deserve this win, but everyone needs a few of those every season.

    You guys are ing pathetic.

CP3 had an MRI and it only showed a mild strain to the groin. He's listed as day-to-day now.

Hornets were better when they hadn't experienced losing in the playoffs to the Spurs. This is just another in a long line of teams the Spurs not only dismantle physically, but scar mentally as well. Quite a few examples:

03 Lakers. They were so scared after the Finals/MVP of the Decade dominated them on the way to another le, they got proven dirty players and Spur Haters Gary Payton and Karl malone - and still managed to only win the 04 series by the Biggest Bull Shot of All-Time.

03 Mavericks. Had Dirk's ankle not be so soft, they may have hung on for a less embarrassing defeat. Instead, Nellie begins to be phased out as Mark Cuban clearly sees the Mavericks had little chance of ever beat us. Once again, they did eventually beat the Spurs, but only after completely retooling to do just that. Plus, after that series, the Spurs have owned the Mavericks ever since, when they weren't owning themselves.

05 Suns. This team was more hyped than this year's Lakers, with homecourt throughout the playoffs. Most gave the Suns the series by a good margin, which in the end probably only hurt the Suns egos more. As it turns out, it would be only the beginning of multiple Spur beatdowns on the way to a couple rings and a deep playoff run. To this day they still cannot get the Spurs out of their heads.

A related interesting point is how often the Spurs have owned Steve Nash throughout his career.

You make a good point. I think a win in Game 7 would have been huge for the franchise. I don't buy the fact that we weren't good enough last season to beat the Spurs. We just didn't have the composure to run our offense or play solid man-to-man defense. We were a talented bunch last season, but didn't get the job done on our home floor. That loss was a huge body blow that knocked the wind out of our sales and ruined what was the greatest season ever in New Orleans sports history. The loss left a bitter taste in the end.
