Thats the only way I can maybe see him getting that angry.
I'm not saying it was the right way to go about things, but I certainly understand his reaction...

I guess I just see things differently. I cut my teeth working law enforcement and before that retail loss prevention so I had to get used to keeping calm while people were going nuts around me. Some walking in your sight line and ing with lighting just doesn't seem like something to go that crazy over. He should have gotten the director into it the 1st time it happened so that the 2nd time meant replacing the bas .
I guess the places where I've worked have been alot more professional with the way they go about things. If someone needs to get ed at like that, it's done privately.
If Christian Bale was some generic supervisor in IT, his happiness and cooperation wouldn't be the difference between complete failure and tens (possibly hundreds) of millions of dollars.
It's impossible to compare a business setting and an artistic setting, which is what a film set is (or, at least, should be).
As non-actors, we may all think it's a little silly to have to get emotionally prepared to earn insane amounts of money playing with fake robots all day, but that doesn't mean it's not a necessary part of the process. Especially for someone like Bale, who is notorious for an EXTREME dedication to character preparation.
Well said.
Apparently that prick had been doing that crap during takes...I guess I'd get pretty pissed too if some dumb ass kept f*ckin off while I'm trying to be serious and work...love the F bombs...
lol, Looks like Bale has apologized.

Christian Bale calls tirade 'inexcusable'
The Associated Press
4:08 PM EST, February 6, 2009
Christian Bale says he acted like a "punk" and that his profane tongue-lashing on the set of "Terminator Salvation" was inexcusable.
In Friday remarks on a Los Angeles morning radio show, Bale said he never intended to get physical with cinematographer Shane Hurlbut. He also said he was likely channeling too much of his character, John Conner.
Bale also told the "Kevin and Bean" show on KROQ 106.7 that he and Hurlbut reconciled and worked together for another month following the tirade.
The outburst, which occurred last year on the set in New Mexico, was posted this week on the celebrity gossip site TMZ. It has become an Internet sensation, inspiring a music remix, spoofs, and punch lines for the "Kevin and Bean" show
