Wish he'd started the 2nd half. Hope Pop sees his great offensive skills and just pairs him with KT or TD to mask his defencies on D.vs. LAC 03/27:

I haven't watched him much, and that is because Pop never plays him. If he starts doing that though, you can bet that I will be on his ass about it in the game thread like I am on Mason about his reaching in and fouling.

Gooden will just keep getting better with more PT. Let's hope we sew up that #2 spot so Gooden can get heavy minutes the last few games and rest Duncan.
I would just like to say I was wrong about Gooden. He's a physical presence out there and he's only going to get better. Spurs made a great pickup.

best game with SA by far. I hope this is a sign of what he could do in the playoffs -- provide points to take a bit of big man scoring pressure off TD and play tolerable D.
3 rebounds is all he could muster?

Broski still came up with 17 pts...can't remember the last time Oberto did that.
He only played 13 minutes. Cut the guy some slack.

Gooden looked better in that regard. But, yeah, Manu sometimes relies on help D. Don't think Gooden the guy for that.
He did all that in only 12 minutes. So 3 rebounds isnt even a bad rebounding game.

He wasn't brought here to score 17.
He was brought to rebound and he was pathetic in that regard.

Matt Bonner who everyone here loves to on and hate DOUBLED him in rebounds.
How many do you expect him to get in 12-13 minutes?
Gooden is a good scoring option but from what i see not a player who makes those around him better.
