Didn't know that about the UFC. How is it that Dean Lister had to get naked on stage during his last weigh-in?

    hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm good point.

Maybe they just do it in states they can get away with it? Because sometimes I watch weigh ins where a fighter flunks out and you never see actually happen at least I haven't but I only catch half of them. Maybe it only happens when they aren't in Nevada or California.

Interesting tidbit from the post fight conference

-- o Ortiz made it very clear he wants to fight for Strikeforce. He is waiting for the UFC's first right of refusal to expire (which it does in May), and then he would ideally return in the fall. He has just started weight training again, and trash talked Babalu a bit. He admitted he was depressed Frank lost because it was "money out the window."
He has said he wants to fight in the summer many many times. So that tells me that something might be wrong with his rehab?

It was just her sitting down waving like she always does. Not even a hit of cleavage.

Well i think when he said Summer originally most people said "That is way too soon for his surgey" So he probably was just being overly optimistic. Fall is probably the safer and better target for him..

And with this new Showtime deal, Strikeforce is the best place for o by far. Get healthy, string a few wins together and who knows he could be back in the UFC soon after..

I wonder how much Frank losing changes everything with SF signing o. It would have been the best PPV event they could possibly put together and thats gone now.

o and Babulu is a big fight, just as big as he and Frank IMO.. Bottom line o will sign there as long as his demands are reasonable..

I still can't believe how terrible Shamrock looks...he looked slow, weak, and small. Coming off surgery, fighting 6 lbs below his normal weight, and getting older were just too much...

Scott Smith...wow! One of the toughest guys in MMA.

According to Dave Meltzer "Frank Shamrock was asked to drop out of the fight due to his cracked ribs."

well i got one day off and it was spent with baby Nicolette. work sucks especially after losing a fight. everyone is all nervous to say anything. i did get too watch the fight this morning. it was as i remember it to be: i looked slow and old. he looked young and active. his game was good. mine not.

everyone wants to know what i am going to do! will i fight again?, are you done?, i dont think so!. its gonna be the same thing i have been doing for the past 15yrs. back to the gym after vacation and back to work. i love fighting and mma. this is what happens when you risk stuff and sometimes you get your butt whopped. this is the best time i have ever had in my life and this is the best life i have ever had. i am a Believer.

    you just gotta believe.

    miss you mask.

    frank

    370 grand for Shamrock WTF

The UFC just paid (According to what was released) BJ Penn 125 grand for UFC 94. Who knows what bonus money he got, but 370 grand for Frank Shamrock. That's insane..
