P.S. Howard and Terry still need to learn to STFU and quit acting like thugs every time they make a shot.
Good series by the Mavs. They were simply the better team this time around. The Spurs, without Manu and lacking chemistry, just didn't ever have the weapons to answer, and Dallas has played inspired so far, hitting the shots when they count.
Good luck against Denver. Don't let Crybaby Karl get any delusions of grandeur.

Big props to the Mavs. They played better and were more consistent and deserved to win this series. Dirk was huge in Game 5 -- apparently playing through some pain -- and Kidd and Terry were basically unconscious from behind the arc when it mattered most. The Mavs defended well enough to win and were just much better on the offensive end.
Congrats, Mavs fans.

Seriously though, props to those of you in this thread who are capable of saying "Congrats" without qualifying it with a bunch of whining or rationalizations. That's what a man does. The next time the Spurs beat the Mavs in the playoffs -- be it next year or 25 years down the road -- I intend to do the same.
Dude, they're not acting like thugs. They're excited because it's been a tough three years for the organization, and it's an emotional release to finally win again in the playoffs. Can you blame them?
I'm fine with a player being pumped. Dirk had a few excitable moments as well, but I didn't call him out on it.
You notice how Kidd doesn't start pumping his chest when he's hitting big shots. It's called having a little class.
Howard and Terry, on other hand, feel the need to start trash talking and flashing gang signs nearly every time they hit a shot. It looks bad on them, and your organization, but enjoy it if you want.
I will say that Dampier's saunter back up the floor in the last minute was ridiculous.

I still believe that all Mav fans all the way up to the owner are ing bags who dont know how to win gracefully but props to the Mavs for beating a depleted, injured Spurs team I guess.

Spurs are officially FISHING IN ROUND one for the first time since 00, it feels weird but they are there. Mavs fans have been there too the last two years so they are not there yet, but in the end IMO only Cleveland fans and LA fans will not be fishing, and even one of them late will be fishing so it's all academic to me. I'm taking Denver in the next series but you never know. A win in that one and maybe we'll stop hearing about the last few failed years on every nationally televised game.

Congrats to the Mavs. Clearly the better team won. Mavs fans should be proud. After much inconsistent play during the season, they peaked at the right time and are now playing their best ball of the season. Bench contributions were the story of this series.
Of course, I'll be rooting against your asses from here on out (my annual ritual), but for now, enjoy the series victory. Well deserved.

As long as Cleveland or LA doesn't go to the Finals I will be ok. Also I don't mind Jason Kidd. I always repected how classy he was after we beat the Nets in 02.

Not with a ass post like this it isn't. Being graceful in victory says a lot about character.
Not being gracious, well that says a lot more.
Sidenote: it would have been interesting to see both of the teams play this series injury free. I think it would have been a lot more entertaining.
