Damn....Manu almost made that 3
Wilkins burns Glover for the dunk. Allen misses 3. Manu misses 3.
End of half.
51-35 Spurs
16 for Parker.
Damn....Manu almost made that 3
Wilkins throws it down! Ray misses the three, Ginobili miss three pointer at the buzzer.
Spurs 51
Sonics 35
Very good FG% so far - but in the second half it's going to come down and Seattle's will[I] go up
I'm gone drinking.
back later.
..gotta lot of work for Seattle to do that.... the Spurs are doing pretty good defense right now.
just need to upgrade the FT though.they're just 7-12 58%.![]()
Too easy for the Spurs in the first half. They were making everything in the first quarter, and if they did miss they got the offensive rebound and reset. They scored in almost every offensive possession. Second quarter their shooting cooled down while the Sonics starting pushing with Ridnour, Wilkins and Collison, getting a nice little run to tighten up the score. Barry started pushing on the offensive end though and Manu and TP started attacking the basket again, and Spurs took huge lead. The Spurs can't sleep on the Sonics in the second half though, the Sonics have been having huge fourth quarters the last couple of games, and a 4th quarter collapse by the Spurs could kill them.
Only 3 turnovers at the half for the spurs.
Also, 4 assists for the sonics to 10 for the spurs.
Flip Murray sucking it up again for the Sonics, they should replace him with Wilkins. TP with the offensive foul, slow start to second half.
So, is anyone actually following the game blog?
...2 pts in a qtr is NOT enough for an all-star who wants his team to win, man...
ok, let's just see what he can do in the 2nd half...![]()
Flip finally makes something, now 1-8. Manu gets decked out again, he's getting punished when he tries to attack the paint. Ray Allen another jumper. Parker cuts inside for another layup. Flip for 3. Parker misses jumper, Flip pushes it, almost loses control and gets hacked by Manu.
54-41 Spurs
The Spurs were very efficient in the first half - however, as I said, it will change - they won't keep a 15 pt lead the whole way
Rasho having a great game - another rebound, now 6 in total and he's playing well on D
Horry schools the Sonics, blows right past Jerome James and lays it up, and 1. Misses the free throw. Sonics waste possession, got caught in backcourt and used up most of the shot clock just trying to get set. Reggie Evens tries a weak hook that gets slapped by Horry back in to his face. TP hits the three on the other end.
Wow the Sonics are giving WAAAy too many second chance pts. Fortson is out, I guess, but still, it's inexcusable
..we are.
we're just exstatic so amazedthat w/o TD we could beat Seattle, who claims the Spurs is one team who can't figure them out
go spurs!
I think Manu should be benched right about now
I read the game blogs. I just don't post that much. I appreciate everyone's take on the game here, since I can't see the games.
Ginobili with the finger roll - wow Ridnour looked bad on defense there
Sonics look lost out there. Mac10 needs to blow up the lineup and put his energy guys out there. Wilkins, Collison and Ridnour. I don't know what they could do about the interior defense though, there just aren't a lot of options for the Sonics.
James with the sweeping hook, still a stiff though. Manu with the sweet underhand running tear drop off glass and in, not even sure what to call that one. Sonics not hitting anything except the back of the iron. On the other hand Horry blows the baby fingeroll directly under the basketball, fouls Reggie, Sonics ball.
61-43
Well it might have some thing to do with not having RLewis, DForston, VRadmanovic and also playing in the 2nd of back to back and spurs playing on a 3 day rest. So this doesnt prove much.
Without the game blog I'm stuck watching the gay little score update thingie on NBA.com. So I really appericate the input as always![]()
