I met my wife at HEB. Best carryout I've ever had.
My hubby and I were both Applied Physics majors at ASU, he was a junior when I was a freshman and I remember seeing him in the cafeteria thinking that he was weird because he and his girlfriend at the time would sit there and split up the Crunch Berries into the red and yellow. I had him for several classes over the years, we were in SPS together, and his roommate was my lab partner and one of my best friends for several years. I knew him in passing for all those years, he even dated a girl that lived on my floor and I saw him in the smoking room in our dorms a time or two (she smoked, he didn't). I didn't seriously talk to him until we took a Tech Writing class together my junior year and ended up sitting next to each other by chance. From there, casual flirting started and one thing led to another.. I was supposed to just be a senior year fling for him but we were engaged the next year and finally tied the knot 6 years later and we've been married for almost 2 years now.![]()

Kori, I remember you and timvp's relationship back then. We were kinda taken along for the ride at times lol Its neat how it all worked out. I can't believe it was back in 2002! I'm glad you two are happy. Its always great to have happy endings
I'm another person who's met someone online. I'm not with anyone now but my first boyfriend I met online in a SA chatroom (remember Cootersgrl??) and that lasted for five years and the last one I met on sr and we were together for 5 months. I think its time I met someone in the real world now lol both ended badly for me but I have nothing against the internet. It worked for a while for me.
I love reading stories like this too.
I hope I have a story to share with you guys like this again one day but <crossing fingers> it will involve my future husband not just a boyfriend.
So you aren't going to tell us who it is?and the last one I met on sr and we were together for 5 months.![]()
No, I rather not say on here. These two sites are too closely connected if you know what I mean. Simply put, he broke my heart...bad.![]()
I'm just trying to move on and be patient until that real pure love thats out there for me arrives.
Thank God I'm a patient person lol and still believe, although hard, that I'll find someone.
Stories like yours and others on here keep me hoping.
Just have patience and faith. True love is worth waiting for. I'm sure when you least expect it, you'll find the man of your dreams.Thank God I'm a patient person lol and still believe, although hard, that I'll find someone.

Damn, Dizzg screwed you over that bad?
We would have probably somehow met at some random Spurs playoff game and lived happily ever after. What if the internet was never invented? Kori and Timvp would have grown up to be old maids I guess.![]()
I met my current girlfriend on yahoo's messenger. Going strong for over five months now.
Does that mean Yahoo Personals, or how do you meet someone just on messenger?I met my current girlfriend on yahoo's messenger
I did a random search on yahoo users here in San Antonio and that's how we connected. Actually we had chatted briefly early last year, then lost touch and then I happened to have seen here online again this past October. I dropped her a message on Yahoo's IM and went from there.
You randomly search for people in San Antonio that are yahoo users?? I have never heard of that before. So you just IM'd her randomly and struck up a conversation? How would you know that she was even looking for someone/not married/whatever?I did a random search on yahoo users here in San Antonio and that's how we connected.
I met Ruth down in Brownsville when I came home from school in May, 1982. She came there to work in the hospital, and my parents would pick her up for church. The first Sunday evening after I got back, there was a church gathering in McAllen, so a bunch of the folks met at the church to leave together. Just as I was getting in a car with my sister and some friends, my mom came over and asked me to ride with them, because Ruth was riding with them and they thought it would be nicer for her to have someone her age to ride with. I inwardly groaned, then thought to myself, "Well, I hope she's cute, at least." She was (and still is).
That summer, my sister and I would pick her up on Sundays, until one day I told my sister, "Don't bother hurrying, I'll pick her up myself." That fall, I stayed down in Brownsville for a semester, and the rest, as they say, is history. We just celebrated our 20th a couple months ago.
Oh, and for my brush with fame... I officiated at Kori and LJ's wedding (so now you know why my avatar says what it does!) I even got to do my Princess Bride schtick in the wedding - practicing for my daughter's wedding someday.
Everytime I see that movie, I have flashbacks of Kori's wedding!![]()
you THOUGHT??? he was! haha.. anyway, what was the separating all about?
He liked to eat the Crunch berries and she like to eat the yellow ones...
i bet you don't allow crunch berries in the house now!
Ah, how many deals/bets/transactions by students here have been sealed at Herbert's?![]()
Nah, I like them, but I don't mind eating the yellow and red together!![]()
I work part time as a runner for a law firm and my current girlfriend (of almost one year) worked their at the time we met. We attended the same university at one time which really helped the relationship blossom. However, she graduated in the Fall and is moving to Tennessee this August where she received a terrific opportunity to work on her masters. I think this could kill the relationship, but we’ll see. =(
I met my wife in highschool.
I was 34 and she was 14, I was cruising the parking lots with a raincoat on.
No, seriously, we were both in HS. I was Senior and she a Freshman.
long distance relationships never last long...
everyone's different clan. i think it depends if it is acknowledged that it is a temporary long distance.....if it's a "we'll see what happens" kinda deal, then yeah, you gotta point.
In the olden days, stalkers would just point randomly in a phone book for a new target.![]()
