the confed cup isnt quite preseason, as it is still an official international tournament, but then the US isnt quite as bad as the clippers...

I didnt watch the game but not at all surprised the US beat them. Spain relies on their skilled players to make and take opportunities and they dont have a physically imposing team. they were on a good roll though and i'm sure whoever bet on the US made good money today. that said, the US doesnt have much to brag about either. they barely got to the semis in the first place, in a small tournament with only 3 "elite" teams in italy, spain and brazil. now if they beat brazil in the final, that will be impressive...

...if not for the confed cup curse: the winner always flames out in the WC.
