Xylus I think committee agrees 1000% with ya man.
Agreed about the Niagara Falls scenes, as someone who is planning along those lines it was tear jerking.
Agreed as well about Michael and Holly. They just work together too well to not integrate into the show.
I was pissed when they took Holly away. She's female Michael. I definitely can't wait til they bring her back. And, it's going to be way more interesting now that Michael slept with Pam's mom. There's a lot of possibilities there.
Also, the Andy-Erin storyline could be good. And there could still be something with Dwight and Angela that could happen.
You have to especially love the ones who expect you to alter your life because they got knocked up.
"Phyllis, would you mind switching soaps? Just for a month or two."
That was the first time I've ever felt even an inkling of dislike for Pam.
The reason why Michael and Holly are so good together is because of what Jim said about her.
Jim Halpert: I can't believe I'm saying this, but Michael is actually killing it with Holly, and I think I know why, its because Holly is kind of a major dork.
I'm guessing that Jim and Pam are going to be pissed that Michael slept with Pam's mom.
Holly's funny, but Jan is a way more interesting character and I hope she and Michael get back together. Jan destroying Michael's plasma screen while everyone was having dinner there was hilarious. They gotta be able to work in an episode where Michael sends everyone one of their numerous sextapes.
I definitely agree with the Holly comments. I loved her. I've pretty much had my fill w/ Jan. I don't mind if they feel like bringin her back (she certainly provides some tense comedy), but as far as Michael's love life is concerned, Holly is perfect.
And I thought Jim cuttin his tie was a nice moment. He's just good at that charming .
Shows die when things get perfect for all the characters.
Bring back Jan.
Yeah, Michael needs to have his life in complete chaos, and Jan brings that out perfectly when they're together. I already think they've painted themselves in a corner with Jim and Pam and their storybook romance. The British Office handled it way better, having Tim and Dawn (the characters Jim and Pam are based on) finally hook up at the very end of the final episode.
I thought it was pretty good but I honestly feel that they need some trouble for Jim and Pam or they need to focus on some other chars a little more.
Jan is terrible for Michael and she treated him like . Holly and Michael are perfect for each other because they are a lot alike. And Holly doesn't treat Michael like a piece of either.
Exactly, which is why Jan is much better for the show. The show revolves around the instability in Michael's life and character.
Good point but why can't Michael have some good luck with the ladies like Jim has had?
Because it's funnier when he doesn't -- just like it's funny when Dwight scores with a hot girl and dumps her.
You just totally spoiled the British version for me.![]()
Is it that hard to predict? Sitcoms always have happy endings.
Wonder Years did not have a happy ending.
Wonder Years is a drama. And thanks for blowing it for me!
Wonder Years was a dramedy, so we'll call it even.
And I didn't blow it for you. Blowing it for you would be revealing that Kevin is diagnosed with cancer and Winnie Cooper turns out to be a man. But I won't spoil those plot points for you.
In 10 to 20 years, which version are people going to remember more? American or British version? I'm gonna go with the American version because it has been way more successful, more popular, better, and funnier. Just my opinion though.
Did anyone notice when Michael mocked Dwight right after Dwight tricked him about saying that the room was his?
So no marriage for them then?
Seriously though, Wonder Years. Great show. I highly recommend it.
Too bad The Wonder Years probably won't be out on DVD for years and years because of the music rights. I liked it for couple of seasons back in the day, but I'm hoping other shows come out before it. Still, it's a little surprising it's not in syndication somewhere.
Didn't it used to be on Nick at Nite? I think it was a long time ago though. Either way I used to love that show.
I just torrented seasons 1 and 2, and the quality isn't bad. I really want to watch the show again, and since I saw most of it on reruns, and didn't really get to see it as the seasons went on, I don't really remember what happens. But it is a great show.
And I used to think Winnie was hot.
