Yes, Kawhi is more athletic, and more natural looking with the ball in his hands... right now. Maybe you forget that Battier came into the league looking that way as well, and generally having a bit more of a scoring approach than he does now. In fact, most every player coming from college starts off looking more athletic and natural with the ball in their hands.

Leonard and Battier were quite similar in their early years. But as Battier's career went on, even though he was capable of more, he realized that his best bet is to stick to what he does best... defense, spot up shooting, and junk work. I'd put money on it, that in time, Leonard will be the same. However, I never said you compared him to Pippen, but there are/were plenty of threads by spurfans making those comparisons.

Dirk take is omitted because pretty much the only people who vehemently deny that there is a legit argument there, are gots and Dirk haters, both of which you are. Whether most posters here fully agree or not with him being considered the #2 PF of all time, the majority agree at least that a legit argument is made.

You are missing the point. Tony Allen is more fluid and athletic than Shane Battier. Doesn't change the fact that they play the same roles on their respective teams, and are best suited to play that type of role. Leonard is in the same mold. Your homerism blinds you.

Not as ridiculous as you think. He carried teams to heights just as great as Barkley and Malone did, but did it with less talent around him. Malone was the second most important player on his teams and is one of the most overrated players of all time. Barkley has 100x more of an argument than Malone, and has been/still is the only person outside of Timmy that has a legit argument as being > Dirk. KG =/> Dirk is just laughable.

Getting things wrong around draft time is not even a bad take imho..if you were to look at people's draft day takes in any sport there would a dozen if not dozens of horrible ones each year..at the time if Jordan didnt pick Keame he still ge would have went in the top four..in football people forget this now but Ryan Leaf was not only the consensus number two pick but some people were saying maybe the Colts should take him over Manning..also Mel Kiper had a meltdown because the Colts didn't hitch their wagon to the star that is Trent ing Dilfer..a ton of draft day takes are always awful in hindsight..not even something to be slightly embarrassed about..

lol KG being in his prime and leading a team with comparable talent to Dirk's team this year to missing the playoffs if 3 consecutive years (and some of the worst records in the league in 2 of those years), while Dirk is out of his prime, missed a bunch of games, came back from a major surgery and played while still not 100%, and nearly got his team to the playoffs.
