TMAC is expected to be back this season, too.... So, that doesn't really matter at all.
I agree using the injury card is just and obvious excuse as the Lakers should have won regardless last night, but Lakers injury card is relevant to what will happen this year. If it was a season ending injury it would be less relevant as the team would be what it is for the year. Pau Gasol is expected back this month/season. And I don't know the exact stats but obviously Lakers with Gasol in the line up has an incredible win percentage and back to back finals appearances and 1 ring. So when Gasol is out its clearly a big impact player for the Lakers and its a fact that in a month the Lakers will be much tougher to beat. Obviously Rockets have injury problems but that is irrelevant to the fact that the Lakers will be better when Gasol is back whether the Rockets have injuries or not.

That doesnt even make sense. Since Tmac is expected back this season it doesnt matter Gasol is going to comeback for the Lakers? If you want to say that neutralizes Gasol somehow when Lakers plays the Rockets even though he doesnt ok whatever. How doesn't Gasol matter when the Lakers play the other 28 other NBA teams knowing what he has done as a Laker.
