If any team in this league can get Iverson back on track it's the Spurs. He has a shot to play for an NBA le, Pop will tell him you bring your baggage here forget it we don't want you. Either be a team player or no deal. With the injury to Tony Parker signing Allen Iverson would make sense for the Spurs as an insurance policy, but only under those terms which would be up to AI to accept or not. The Spurs would be stupid to not contact Iverson and see if he would be willing to accept a reduced role to try and win an NBA le. If he says no to Pop and the Spurs, than he is downright on cloud 9.
That's about what I was trying to say. I'm not saying we need or want him, but the Spurs are one of the teams that could make it work with him.

It's up to Iverson though to change and he just hasn't been willing to do it.

A lot of teams could use Iverson if he was willing to change..the problem is that he isn't willing, and that's what makes him a cancer..some guys just aren't meant to play a supporting role, and Iverson is one of those guys..he's also one of the worst defenders in the NBA at this point of his career..

Or PJ and the Lakers. I think we could use him as an insurance policy against Manu's increasingly fragile health.

    It's Pop's call I guess.

I don't really have an opinion either way. We are playing like total crap so far and just want to get the Spurs playing better right now.

Perhaps Pop could send Manu and he could tell AI how it is. I agree, if AI is not willing to change than forget it. I just think he wants to play with a le contender (Memphis isn't), but if this cancerous ego crap is still going on than let him go play in Europe.

A true winner will accept any role his coach gives him, it's not about you, it's about your team! AI just doesn't get it, but he needs to and fast!!!

Sure ,why not.. I've missed seeing the red-faced Pop with the bulging veins on the forehead.. having AI on the team would guarantee Pop's stress level goes thru the roof..

    The 'Answer' for the Knicks?
    By Frank Isola

Allen Iverson is on the Knicks' radar. Donnie Walsh confirmed tonight that the club will explore signing the former MVP, who parted ways with the Memphis Grizzlies.

Once Iverson clears waivers on Wednesday he will become a free agent and can negotiate with any club.

Is he a good fit for the Knicks? They are 1-9 and desperately need a scorer. However, the Knicks are rebuilding and there is a chance that Iverson's presence would hinder the development of Danilo Gallinari and rookie Toney Douglas.

    ^ ^ Why the not?

You're going nowhere fast, you've got a coach who's as fond of defense as AI, and you've got a fanbase that's doing nothing but counting the days to '10.

The fans in NY have always had a great respect for AI and having him play in the Mecca for a year to pass the time could be a win-win for both parties.

Iverson's agent says they'd 'be elated' about NY.

A New York Daily News report said the New York Knicks would explore possibly signing Iverson. Team president Donnie Walsh wasn’t committal, telling the Daily News, “We’ll look into it. Right now, I’d say probably not, but we’ll see.”

Moore has not heard anything from the Knicks, but said Iverson would be excited about playing in New York, provided the team’s interest is sincere.

“That’s one of his favorite places to play,” Moore said. “He loves [Mike] D’Antoni’s style of play. He’s always had respect for Donnie Walsh since his days in Indiana. We’d be elated if that is true.

“We don’t want to jump the gun. … But that would definitely be of interest. That would work family-wise with him having family in Philly and his wife having family in New York.”

Or out of the league. He's single-handedly ruined any positive, team-oriented at ude that Timmy has brought to the league.

Iverson is my least favorite player in the league, I feel like he doesn't deserve a le and honestly hope he never gets one.

No I don't think Iverson would fit. He is a one man show and that show is over.
