Mav fans are getting increasingly sensitive to anything Maverick all of the sudden.
Dirk does not have the work ethic of Kobe. He does not have the same at ude as some other players as well. He admits that. Kobe, would go anywhere and do anything to win.
Dirk wants to win, but he would not leave the Mavs to do so. He is too loyal. His make up is different from that of other "intense" superstars. Dirk does not have that y, arrogant, "no one is going to stop me" mindset, or he does not display it.
That is not to say one way is right and one way is wrong. It is just that the majority of the elite players tend to have that mindset.
You are speaking about things "they way the should be" vs. the "way they are". Point is, Barkely said what he said about the Spurs and that does not mean Barkley hates Dirk or the Mavs.

Why wouldn't I when he wants to criticize Dirk's "makeup?" Barkley was a great player, but he left a LOT on the table. The point is that he does not hate on Dirk or the Mavs. He has a ton of respect for Dirk and his game. Charles, despite his flaws, just had a take no prisoners mindset. Like when he trash talked Angola in the Olympics.
