im suggesting that we use the tools we have as a team and let the other teams worry about our strengths we let the other team adjust to us than us adjusting to them all the time which then throws to waste all the off season moves we did .... i mean ratliff that dude even if plays 5 mins or 3mins he almost always gets 1 block and it starts our offense most often than not ... teams know that we arent athletic and we play small all the time .... time to change that because we have the talent to do so
Your takeaway from watching the Spurs this season is that RATLIFF needs to get more minutes? Are you crazy?

    Pop has always coached matchups.

    Even in championship years.

You'd ideally want to dictate matchups all the time, but sometimes you can't do that.

    Thats basketball.

So it was the players' fault Pop inexplicably benched Duncan and used an 8 man rotation in a tough OT game against the thunder with no shotblockers or rebounders that they looked exhausted against the bobcats even on a night of rest?

Poor Antonio got left out to dry as the only interior presence in that game, and now all of a sudden he's hurt and can't play more than 3 minutes.. I suppose that's his fault too..

It's pop's fault McDyess injured himself (allegedly we don't know if he is or not) on a errant pass from Manu?

He didn't hurt his legs, if he hut anything its his shoulder.

That doesn't get hurt from getting run ragged of all of 20 some odd minutes the other night.

    Yes... Exactly what Im saying.

Last I ing checked, Basketball was a ing team game. Relying on one player (ie. Duncan) isnt going to be good for championships. Someone needs to step up besides him. Pop was trying to force that and see who he has that will do it.

You dont run Duncan into the ground at this point. Just make the playoffs.

If your a supposed "Spurs fan" you would know this by now you . Make the playoffs healthy. Thats it. the regular season and positioning. Playoffs are what count.

He was hung out to dry by Popovich as the only interior guy holding up the fort for stretches of that game. I don't care if it was only 5 minutes, that is utter bull .

Funny how the very next game he can only go for 3 minutes. I'm sure you'll claim its a coincidence. happens, right?

Regular season is regular season. It counts in the playoffs. Not now.

In your analogy, you dont set the house on fire to bring up the heat unless its a last option. That last option is the playoffs.

McDyess did just fine too as the only interior guy.

He had 13 and 9 in 25 minutes.

I'll take that every freaking night if thats what he brought.

So Duncan plays only his THIRD 40 minute game all year long, and all of a sudden we "need other guys to step up?". Please.... that's nonsense. We have Parker, Ginobili, and Jefferson plus a good supporting cast. That's the biggest bunch of baloney I've read yet tonight.

You are blaming the loss on Pop? Figures. The coach is always the scapegoat when the team can't put the ball into the basket and can't make shots.
