Again Thornton has been the 6th man most of the season and right now is the backup PG for Collison so obviously there will not be much development for him![]()
Exactly. You have no way of combating the fact there's more to basketball than scoring. Harden has been known as a stud defender his entire life.
Again Thornton has been the 6th man most of the season and right now is the backup PG for Collison so obviously there will not be much development for him![]()
He didn't do much defending against Thornton in their last matchup.
QFT
But come on THunda...the only thing that matters is FG% and PPG....
You should know that bro!
New Orleans is a PG oriented offense. The SG in their offense is NEVER going to develop. Live with it.
milkshakeballa would be doing a great service to all if he an hero'd himself. He's getting ed in the pooper by my /b/rothers.
He defended enough in college to be a 3rd overall pick, maybe Thornton should have defended more.
Thornton didn't fall because of his defense and you have no information regarding his defense. He basically fell because of his height.
I agree with the 4chan troll. This guy clearly doesn't know anything about /sp/orts.
Milkshakeballa not helping his own cause. The guy argues and acts like he's 12 years old.
And because he does nothing other than score. Harden is a complete player, which is why he was 1st team all american his sop re year in college.
That's not true. Again, Thornton is playing PG at this time because of the injury to CP3. But I guess that won't help his development.![]()
He has alot of freedom in the Hornets offense. Basically, he's been our first legit SG since the team came to New Orleans unless you want to count JR Smith's rookie season.
Thornton was SEC player of the year. What's your point?
Was he 1st team All American?
I have used stats in my other arguments....like the Westbrook Rose arguments?
But these guys are arguing that THorton is better than Harden lol
Our the Hornets are better than the THunder
Thornton also took a LSU team that was expected to be below average to win the SEC conference and take his team to the 2nd round of the NCAA tournament before losing to a stacked UNC team.
I don't know what herod means...is that am isc term? I will do it. I have no beefs with 4chan! Always looking to imporve my sports knowledge.
Harden > Thorton though and its no contest red!
The SEC was a joke in basketball last year, James Harden took ASU to the 2nd round as well, something that hadn't been done at that school in a LONG time. Harden was voted one of the top 5 players in the country AS A SOP RE. Thornton wasn't.
That doesn't mean he will be a better pro. Right now Thornton is playing better.
Exactly.
This argument over rookies is getting pretty stupid.
Did anyone notice the +/- stats for the game? it's pretty strange. I always thought there might be a little credibility to the stat, but this is insane:
http://espn.go.com/nba/boxscore?gameId=300221016
Basically it proves that OKC's bench is a big problem.
Wow dude you're really re ed
You'll find out on Tuesday night. 4th loss in a row?
The Hornets' GM would trade Thornton for Harden in a second if it was proposed to him.
