Actually Batman has kicked Supes' ass on a few occasions. He usually outsmarts him.
If they wanted to a REALLY kick-ass story, they would do Dark Knight Returns... I would love to see that movie.
Actually, "Gotham City" is a conglomeration of various cities, with Chicago and NY being the two most obvious.
I forget which Batman writer said this, but he looked at Metropolis and Gotham as two different sides of NY. Metropolis being NYC during the day, and Gotham being NYC at night.
I forget which city the Flash lives in is supposed to be... I think a mid-west city.

I didn't buy it so I'm not worried. It's a friend of mines who let me borrow it.
I don't even know how that is possible considering all Superman has to do is blast him with his heat vision or punch him in the head one time with his super human strength.
Batman is a great comic book character but that makes no sense that he beats up people with actual super human powers. Batman is just a regular human.
He doesn't beat them up with regular powers.

Batman shows up in his tank, and shoots rockets at Superman, to see if he's back to full strength, after loosing almost all his powers when the sun disappeared. He's not, so Batman enjoys watching Superman get hurt. Meanwhile, Alfred sets the Batcave to self-destruct. Batman plugs into the city's power supply, and fires a sonic pulse at Superman, enough to cause Superman to bleed. Batman has chosen Crime Alley as the place to end his life - the place where his parents died. Bruce shocks Superman with the electricity, but gets a lot of feedback - which starts to weaken his heart. Batman is wearing a strength-enhancing suit, and starts pummeling Superman. Superman is upset, telling Bruce to stop and live. Batman answers him:
You sold us out, Clark. You gabe them the power that should have been ours. Just like your parents taught you to. My parents taught me a different lesson... lying on the street, shaking in deep shock, dying for no reason at all. They showed me that the world only makes sense when you force it to.Then Oliver Queen shows up, and fires a kryptonite arrow at Superman. It really weakens Superman. He's still worried about Bruce's heart, though. Batman scorns his concern, saying "You're beginning to get the idea, Clark. This is the end, for both of us. We could have changed the world, now, look at us; I've become a political liability, and you, you're a joke." And as Batman really starts slugging him, he says, "I want you to remember, Clark... in all the years to come... in your most private moments... I want you to remember my hand at your throat... I want you to remember the one man who beat you..." And then Batman died. As Alfred stood outside Wayne Manor, he had a stroke, and the Cave blew up.
An OLD Batman, kicking the crap out of Supes.
Never underestimate the power of preptime.
+1 on every count
