This is one of the few games whose hype is real and most definitely lives up to all the praises.
Even the music is superb from start to finish. I think I saw this game for 7 bucks at the store. Well worth it.
Eternal Champions on Genesis was sampled by Bone, and turned out two of my favorite songs of all time. I also loved the music from the Resident Evil series.
Mass Effect ST is the GOAT, imo
The Normandy makes a pretty good ringtone
Actually my current ringtone is the music from the galaxy map.
