What's funny is while we're all gonna fein outrage at this, once they inevitably lose a couple in a row, ST's gonna be overrun w/ "there goes tower #2!" threads/comments...

...most likely by the same ones "offended." And I'll prolly chuckle right along.
    real talk

Even as a New Yorker, it doesn't offend me at all, I know what he means, obviously, I just find it incredibly stupid, and the media will probably kill him for this..

They're really playing the NBA-NWO role very well though..
It should. Especially someone who talks his moral high horse bull around here all the time. To compare anything in a game to 9/11 is beyond ignorant.

How ironic that you post ad nauseum about how you cannot beleive that anyone can support Kobe and your you're knobslobbing a coward, a guy who tossed his teammates under the buss, lied to his fans, and now his new teammate who compares losing two basketball games to losing thousands of Americans living in your city.

    Pathetic...

Um, I clearly called it extremely stupid..

Who is this guy that threw his teammates under the bus and lied to his fans?..
That would be Lebron James... you know... the guy whose balls you are garggling.

Unless you dont think calling your teammates out for not covering your ass when you stink it up is ok?

And come on... when someone promises me something and doesn't follow through... it's a lie. And when they tuck tail and run doing so it's a cowardly lie.

But that's ok. You worship whoever you like Harlem.

Is a fine expected or will he be protected by his sucker Stern? If Mark Cuban had said this, he would have been thrown out of the NBA for life.

"Editor's Note: Because of a transcription error, an earlier version of this story contained an incorrect quote from Dwyane Wade. The full and accurate version of the quote is contained in this story. We deeply regret the error."

That quote from D-Wade was fake, check Fanhouse.

I'm not going to get too carried away with this comment, but I'm sick and tired of Wade running his mouth. Instead of being grateful for the situation he now finds himself in, he's been nothing but over the top arrogant. This guy was humble in his early days in the league, then gradually became more arrogant as he won a championship and ascended to superstar status and now he's toiling near Bryant and James level arrogance. It's sickening.
Honestly I think he has always been supremely arrogant just that earlier in his career he was smarter at covering it up. He definitely knew how to out Shaq without coming across as a bad teammate unlike Kobe. I like watching the guy play what he did to the Mavs in '06 was amazing but lol he has always been arrogant.

"You all are going to make it seem like the World Trade is coming down again, but it's not going to be nothing but a couple basketball games." is the correct quote....

He still mentioned 9/11 in the quote. Why the is he bringing up that anyways? Wade is a little full of himself for thinking that people are going to freak out if the Heat lose two to three or more games in a row. Just shut the up and don't bring up things like 9/11, basketball player. You get paid to shoot a ball into a hoop, that's it.

Idiocy all the way around. Pretty awful way to mangle a quote for someone but there's still no reason to even bring up 9/11 in that context. Not really offended, just shaking my head at the whole thing.
