Everytime he makes posts like that the troll alarm goes off but he seems so damn sincere about it.

Honestly, I'be relieved if it were indeed a troll job because to have someone like Darrin out there is just sad.

"just put the information out there"

BigFood doesn't want usto see labels "has/doesn't have" GM, growth hormones, anti-biotics, chemicals like BPA, benzene, melamine, etc, etc. because they know intelligent shoppers would steer away from the perverse, synthetic whose only purpose is to increase BigFood's profits, not to make the food better or safe.

not sure where you're getting that from. i've done some cataloging for the brain mapping project and some work over at TNI as well and i am not aware of any universal acceptance of such a premise within the field. there are certainly schools of thought that advocate such a belief but there are just as many that do not. if anything; neuroscience, epistemology, cognitive science and studies on consciousness are just now getting their feet on the ground. there is a lot more ground to cover.
Rjv, that was probably too broad a characterization; thanks for the correction. I should say, many studies have seemingly disproven the idea of a perfectly rational actor, which many economics use as a given.

now that makes perfect sense and i can definitely see how our baser instincts are the target of so many ads. now i'm off to buy that awesome looking sandwich at KFC that subs the chicken for the bread and is bathed in cheese and bacon.

Is it because of their new ad campaigns on college campuses that pay sorority girls to wear sweatpants or skirts, etc that says KFC double down on their asses?

Excuse me, but if you're going to post wild theories like that, you'll need to provide some (visual) evidence.

well i would follow that kind of billboard to KFC. of course, if these human billboards start eating the advertised product those sweatpants may have to start changing to extra large.

do you often have ramoras attaching themselves to your nutsack?

maybe you should throw them a 459 burger fry combo to get them off

And, for the turds that keep busting my balls on the calorie numbers:

    http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/new...cle1041265.ece

Tormented by nutritionists who worry about expanding waistlines and shareholders who fret about flattening sales, the fast-food chain is launching its biggest menu revolution in 30 years and making a grab for the £445 million-a-year prepared salad market.

By the end of this month, customers at the 1,235 McDonald’s restaurants will be offered the choice of adorning their grilled chicken salad with Caesar dressing (and croutons) or the lighter option of a drizzle of balsamic dressing.

However, anyone hoping that salad is the slimming option should read the nutritional information on the McDonald’s website, which reveals that simply switching from burger to salad will not help to shed the pounds.

A chicken Caesar salad with dressing and croutons contains 425 calories and 21.4g of fat, compared with 253 calories and 7.7g of fat in a standard hamburger. Add a portion of fries to your burger and the calorie count climbs to 459, but is still less fatty than the salad at 16.7g.

So you found numbers you liked and used them with realizing what you were using? No one is saying your numbers are wrong, they're simply pointing out you're comparing an adults salad to the same hamburger and fries that comes in a ing happy meal.

I can't believe you think posting that article somehow changes why everyone is busting your (ramora coated) balls. Wait, check that, I can believe it.

Eh, I can see why DarrinS posted it, but when you think about it, is there anyone in the world who goes to McDonald's and just orders one of their regular hamburgers? Anyone? Heck even the meal has two in there.

Well DarrinS being butthurt about an ad that negatively portrays burgers makes it rather obvious he's as fat as the other Republicans on this site.

sounds like a big salad market.

I bet 459 calories is huge for a British burger.
