I think his ticket has already been punched a long time ago.

I wish the rest of the fans in this league could see Tim on a daily basis. They would understand what Spurs fans understand. Everything goes through Tim. Even on a bad night, he is still a leader who does all the little things to give the Spurs a chance to win. He is the best basketball player I've ever seen and I've seen a lot of basketball. He is just a winner. I'm glad he's not flashy. I'm glad I don't have to watch him do commercials all the time. I'm just glad I get to watch him play basketball. Thanks Tim!

Duncan is good. He's not Kobe the Bean Bryant. Bryant has been spectacular since his second year in the League (Duncan's rookie year) up until this very day.

Duncan is/was still very good. Hope he finds that fountain this season.

Tim looked as good last night as I've seen him in 2 years. His willingness to shoot jumpers is an important step he's seemingly taken to save his body, which is fantastic. Let Beast and Splitter get beat up in the paint til later in the season.
Tim has always looked good to start. I don't know if his jumper is him consciously going to it more often now or if it's part of the new offense Pop is running where I think he's letting the players let it fly if they're open. The offense (and defense) looked very D'antoni-ish.

I think Tim was forced to play 4/5 for several years while there were sub-standard 5's on the team, or playing 4/5 with other players who could do the same (Dice, and to a certain extent Bonner).

With Splitter in the wings, I thing Duncan is trying to return to his natural position, even if it means temporarily conceding the 2003 arrangement with Rose ahem Blair filling the paint for stretches. This may be good news as far as protecting Tim from injuries from opponents in the paint, but it does mean more movement, which may result in more aerobic wear-and-tear. Just my 2c.

yeah, i'm hoping this is the case. has a lot to do with Manu and Parker being injured the last two years also.

But if he keeps this up he'll apparently be put in the football hall of fame too.

Only one NBA player in age of Tim Duncan or older has got stat line like (at least of each category): 23 points, 12 rebounds, 4 blocks and 3 steals.

Who was it? Uh oh, David Robinson, anybody know that dude? In 2001 (he was 35 then) he did 25 points, 7 blocks, 4 steals and 12 rebounds. Number three of the list of age is Pat Ewing.

According to basketball-refence.com I discovered somenthing incredible. Absolutly brilliant domince of universal. Well, the guy called Hakeem Olajuwon did such a stat line (like above) 59(!) times! Sorry, but it's sick. For comparision second on list is Admiral (24 times), Shaq (7), TD (6), KG hau hau (4 times) or Karl Malone (2).
