I do not give IV sedation, I use N2O sedation, but only rarely, and when I do, there is always a female assistant with me. I have had friends tell me that they have had female patients have fantasies that their dentist was fondling them when they were breathing nitrous, and it might seem real to them even though it is not....therefore, I always have a witness sitting right with me with no exceptions.
