Americans were the largest travelers to South Africa and they'll probably be the largest to visit in Brazil. I don't know about Russia, but unless there are drastic changes there is no way in Americas are going to Qatar.

If American tourists go to Dubai, I'm sure they can go to Qatar and have a good time

Im going 180. This is going to be an awesome world cup! For the first time, its not going to cost and arm and a leg to fly around and follow your team. As long as the travel infrastructure is set. The size of the country could make for a world cup of epic proportions!

You're also apparently incapable of making a logical observation. Any other option for 2022 had the US not won would have been better than Qatar. Australia, Korea or Japan would all have been MUCH better.

Heat, poplulation, size, attractions outside of the WC, laws, status of football in that nation. The only thing Qatar has going for it is oil money. Thats IT.

Manny, every die hard soccer fan in the world is going to be in an area roughly 100 x 55miles (11 times the size of San Antonio.) It has awesome written all over it. Droves of English, Germany, USA, Spain, Portugal, Mexico fans are all going to be there. Seriously put the aside and think about it.
