Kobe's just being a pussy, either shut up and play or retire.
Or he could wear a suit on the bench, like Dirk.

Instead, Kobe will just settle for number 6.

Or Kobe will do his usual routine of saying how bad he is hurting before a game, and if he has a good game, he'll say his injury isnt as bad as he made it out to be

His lift is severely degraded. And his ability to foray into traffic without the ball coming out reminds me of Tom Chambers when his game went hurriedly South.

Reminds one a little of Jabbar passing the torch to Magic.

We as Laker's brethren are not so fortunate this time around,,,though Pau takes great joy in the fact that he can categorically refuse to pass his torch without nary a by-your-leave. There ain't no "Magic" for him. Just a petered out Bryant

That's ok though. No matter how long it takes. No matter how much misery there lay ahead....I'm gonna go home with who brung me.

    And daddy-O's, Pau brung me.

    Pau Gasol
    Excellent post, Cul.

I read this earlier ... and I cringed. I think it's pretty amazing that he has ben able to go this long at this rate. And if things are that bleak as much as I admire Kobe as aplayer the team is bing irresponsible by signing Kobe for that many more years at THAT type of salary ... but hey it's not My money ...
Kobe was selfish for taking it. He should have done them a solid, and left some money on the table to shop for some younger team mates for his last couple of years.

Exactly, which explains why Duncan has been irrelevant the past 3 seasons.
    19/11
    19/11
    18/10

If that's irrelevant, Bynum is non-existant.

I give Kobe respect for playing through injuries and pain, he's obviously tough..I don't have a problem with any of this..I just find it funny that he talks about his injuries more than any player I've ever seen, in any sport..even though the media asks for it, he still blames his injuries for his poor play, which annoys me..

No, Bryant did not get acquitted. He paid the girl and undisclosed amount of money, and she dropped the case.

OJ Simpson didn't have that luxury.

Michael Vick didn't have that luxury.

But Bryant did it, and everybody knows it. Yet Laker fans still cheer for him every single day, and even dress their daughters in #24 jerseys.

    Wow. Just wow.

Exaggerate much? Hyperbole is your forte! Look we all know you hate Kobe but that is bull . But i guess one must deflect when their favorite player develops a mysterious elbowmymom edatrolli s in the playoffs last year ...

Hyperbole. If someone is actually injured, it usually results in a reduced level of play...and when prompted I don't see a problem in stating what is wrong with them. I can't recall when Kobe has said I played bad because of my pinkie, knee, back spasms, etc.

Kobe was asked about his struggles during the OKC series and the end of last season, and he said it was due to his injuries..

Obviously injuries result in a reduced level of play..however, using them as an excuse, especially if you're a star player, is a pussy move IMO..what makes it even worse is that Kobe is portrayed as a "warrior" that doesn't make excuses..
