Notice anything common among the 6?
Spurs are only the 7th team in NBA history to win at least 43 of their first 51 games.
The other 6 teams were:
1964-1965 Celtics 43-8 thru 51 games
1966-1967 76ers 46-5 thru 51 games
1971-1972 Lakers 44-7 thru 51 games
1982-1983 76ers 44-7 thru 51 games
1995-1996 Bulls 46-5 thru 51 games
1996-1997 Bulls 45-6 thru 51 games
ALL SIX of those teams won the NBA Championship.

Ya, they won at least 43 of their first 51 games.
None of them had to play and beat the Lakers to get to finals.

I am by no means saying it's a lock, but to dismiss what they have done is foolish. Obviously having to go through the Lakers or the Mavs is tough, not to mention whomever comes out of the East.
There is also the potential for upsets, even with tremendous regular season records like the Mavs in 2007.
I was simply saying don't dismiss it.
Your team won't get there. The Mavs are enough to snuff you out while the Spurs wait in the WCF.
