My BIL got a great buzz on the Miller Lite this weekend and left my Shiner Bock alone.

There actually is method to the madness.

I know, pissy little beer snobs...Shiner is a "big market" beer.

all of you. I like great brew pub beer too but when it's hot and I'm working I don't need or want perfection. I just want a good, cold, buzz.

flavored beer I don't know how people can drink that . It tastes nasty, has a load of extra calories, and it's too overpriced imo. I'll drink cheap Mexican beer (Modelo or sol) over miller lite or Budweiser ( ty rice water beers) any day of the week though.

Same thing happened to COORS beer. Back in 1978 you had to sneak Coors beer into San Antonio. But it was good. had a nice rich flavor and got you high. Then they opened more brewery's and it went to . Anytime a small business that is known for quality products expands the difference is noticeably there. Taco Cabana used to be good when it was one or two restaurants. Wall-mart used to be a family owned store that cared about it's employees.

There was a time when you wanted a Toyota pickup truck you had to import it from Japan now you can get one made here in San Antonio by some greasy Mexican.

I've been drinking way more expensive beers the last 3-4 years, but still find time to enjoy a nice 12 pack of bud light or miller light. It depends on what kind of buzz you want and your time frame for doing it.

Like if you're grilling or tailgating at noon for a football game at 6 pm, getting a nice slow buzz off lite beer ain't that bad.

But if it's 8 oclock and you just want to savor a nice beer, then naturally I'll drink a Fin du Monde.

Just stopped in at HEB to grab some stuff before going to the ranch and the have Miller Lite 18 packs for $10 each with no limit. Heck, it's so cheap the girl at the register thought it was a mistake. Time to stock up, alkys.
