It's crazy how irrelevant Rondo has been during Boston's decline in play, tbh..
I haven't watched many of their games lately..have teams adjusted to him more? is he just playing soft and without confidence?..
It's odd that Boston's O looks to have suffered a lot more than their D with the loss of Perkins, I guess it's because losing Perkins means the big 4 has to expend a whole lot more energy to sustain their level of D.

When Ray Allen goes cold Rondo looks a lot less like Stockton.
Boston look terrible. It's not like Miami are playing amazing D either their offence just looks horrible.
The Perkins trade and their slide was a coincidence IMO..his loss has been a factor(interior D + rebounding + screens + toughness), but everybody is overplaying it way too much IMO..they were fine without him for the 1st half of the year..
They were naturally going to get worse as the season progressed, due to age and conserving themselves, but Rondo's decline has more to do with it than anything IMO..
Rondo's FG% went from:
November: 53.7%
December: 58%
January: 50%
February: 48.3%
March: 41%
April 40%
His APG went from:
November: 13.5
December: 13
January: 11.1
February: 10.5
March: 8.9
He has been playing like moist lips for a while now..

Boston made the dumbest decision they possibly could have made by trading Perkins. Krstic doesnt scare anybody. The ONE advantage Boston had over Miami was traded away...their size. Now I'm positive Miami can take Boston in a series. Before I wasnt so sure....
BTW, if Rondo's decline has anything to do with his "friend" getting traded, which is certainly possible, that would be pretty pathetic..

The C's are tanking to get the Knicks in Round 1, I think. Not that they wouldn't beat Philly, but Philly actually plays D, and they'd tire out some of those old Celtic legs, haha.
He spends a lot of time padding stats, working his assist totals. It's sometimes kind of pathetic to watch.
I dont know why da point guard has been so emotional since that blowout loss to Orlando.
