The lengths people will delude themselves to keep backing Apple. It's shocking. Not unlike the political forum TBH.
crazy apple fanboys will run off a cliff for the next Apple IOS

I like Apple but I'm not a fanboy. I own Apple products, but do not own, and probably will never own a Mac.
I agree that they shouldn't push the update, the 3G just isn't fast enough to run it.
Anyone that doesn't think a three year old phone is ancient, is ing crazy.
So someone who owns a 3 year old phone should expect it to be so antiquated that it's not even usable?
The issue isn't about how "old" haters phone is. It's that it was working perfectly well a shoe while ago, and is no longer. And after all this talking about how foolproof the phones are, and how they "just work", now all of the sudden hater is to be blamed for not looking over support forums before he accepts a recommend update to his phone?
Eh, the people saying stupid like this are ing crazy. Just because something is not cutting edge anymore doesn't make it ancient by any means. There are people in this forum with nearly 3 year old android phones that are working pretty damn well thanks to the community.
I have a 4 year old phone and it works fine. I know this is the Geek forum where geeks have to always buy the latest. But I am also a geek, but my phone works perfectly fine. I fixed the screen twice, the headphone jack and hack it and mess with it all the time. I am attached to this phone if it lasts this long its gonna be for a good reason why should I be forced to get a new one?
The thing with lower-end processors, like those used on cellphones, is that Moore's law still applies. So, I definitely agree in the 2-3 year rule when calling tech ancient in that space.
Shouldn't prevent your old phone from working though, but compared to the latest and greatest, it should feel relatively ancient.
"minimum"
"recommended"
lengths lol
Is this gonna be happening today?![]()
"It just works"
Someone please update about the Apple keynote
Really? I have a hero that runs GB at least twice as fast/smooth as eclair. I had to revert to stock about 7 days ago, haven't used it in about 8 months. There is no way I could ever stay on stock. I was only on it for about an hour and I grew ridiculously impatient with how slow it was and how much battery power it was using.
As far as the Nooks are concerned, you are probably right not to buy it if you feel HC is absolutely necessary. The Dev community doesn't have the source code and is building it specifically from the sdk so it is going to be a little buggy. It is likely that HC source won't be released, and they will release Ice cream source code when it comes out (at which point they will likely have a NC2 to kick around with). However if you want a HC tab, I would look at the Transformer (personally).

Well yeah. I don't believe I ever said it wouldn't. That's why minimum and recommended are two separate words used in software and hardware. Would your games "just work" on your old computer? Why did you get a newer one? Minimum. Recommended.
Did Jobs say anything about the Mac Pro?
android is where its at man!
fcuk apple..
well that el jobso er I was waiting for the new that he was going to throw into the 2011-2012 mac pro

It's Official: It's Microsoft & Facebook vs. Twitter & Apple
As far as?
I know they bulked up the MacBook pro's and iMac's a few months ago. Doubled the processing power and introduced Thunderbolt. I can't imagine bulking up the Mac Pro's.
Mac Pros will get a revamp soon enough so they can be integrated with Thunderbolt. It's just a matter of when. For some reason they usually don't really push the hardware upgrades at events like WWDC; they are usually rolled out during the slower periods. Maybe this summer. The last version was a Mac Pro Mid-2010, so a Mid-2011 would make sense.
