What makes you think I'm a Christian parent??? What does that have to do with caring about what my kids are exposed to?thinking the Jonas Brothers don't promote sex in their music
No Disney doesn't overtly promote sex with explicit stuff. They wouldn't be able to doop Christian parents like you into thinking they don't promote sex. Instead they have the Jonas Brothers sing about the tingly feelings they get in their pants that parents think are adorable.
I'll bet you also think youtube videos of 8 year old girls singing Nicki Minaj and Rhianna songs isn't little kids being sexualized at all. I don't understand why the FCC thinks the words "weed" and "ass" need to be edited when Big Sean or Tyga is saying them but when Rhianna is talking about sex in the air nothing needs to be edited.
And I'm also not saying that everything on Disney is appropriate for every single age. It's every parents responsibility to know what their kid is watching and what is OK for their age and for them personally. There's nothing the Jonas Brothers are doing that hasn't been done by teen pop stars for the last 50 years. As far as 8 year olds bumping and grinding like a hoochie...that's on the parents, not Disney Channel. And if you think Disney Channel is showing Nicki Minaj videos or any blatantly sexually promiscuous video, you're way off base. I don't think there's any appreciable more sexual nnuendo in teen music today than at any other time.
I don't know who the Big Sean or Tyga. But I don't really give a what they say. I know enough that it's probably not appropriate for my 12 year old.
