I hate to say it, but maybe, "gulp" the next starting SF may be Vince Carter.

we always get spurned and i'd rather see Leonard AND Anderson start before i'd want to see Vince Carter come here. Like i swear to GOD i'd rather have Jefferson. The amnesty isn't final is it? I hope they have a change of heart now. *PRAYING*

God, if Howard ends up being the main move of the offseason...
Hint: The main move was already announced.

I hope the Spurs just sit tight and offer only a small contract (1year) to someone. Then have the cap space next year to do something.

No point in spending if they can't land a big man because they are not leap frogging any contenders in their current position IMO.
    Spurs with capspace = LOL

Isn't it amazing the number of times an FA will say 'I want to me on a contender" and then choose the money route instead? Caron to the clips means more money but he'll be on vacation for most if not all the Playoffs.
Money is the number one priority for most players. Honestly, its not like the Spurs are THAT much more of a contender than the Clips. They have a great young big man to build off of. We're old and just lost to the 8th seed in the first round.

Only teams under the cap can make a bid right ?

Can the Lakers have him for cheap ?

I heard Yahoo Sports say Prince is working on resigning with the Pistons for a four year deal. Another possible SF target off the Spurs' list..

So much talk about Prince, Butler, Howard and in the end we're gonna see: Spurs sign Boštjan Nachbar

Nah, not even close. I am guessing that if BD wants to go to LA, he would have to give up all his money and sign with the Lakers as a FA, correct?

I disagree. Winning starts from the top down, that means from the owner and Sterling has never made that his priority. He's traded away so many gems he's received from ending at the bottom. At least holt and company have winning on their agenda.

You know what was funny, sterling said something like 'Griffin will be a clip forever', and I immediately thought, Not if Griffin has something to say about that.

Well he has no say in who bids for him, so he'll have to make a very convincing pitch that he'll destroy whatever team bids for him and should let him go. But I guess, technically your scenario can happen.

Doesn't change the fact that the clips have a decent shot at a better record than the Spurs at this moment. The Spurs really aren't a championship contendor right now and they certainly won't be any closer in the coming years barring another Tim Duncan/David Robinson.

    Time to face the facts.
