tonight was one of those nights he couldve shown his worth, too bad he was on the end of curry and ellis hot streak nights, him gettin outscored for 3 quarters and doing all hurt him more then whatever he does in the 4th...without the bailout, he wouldnt have that opportunity to shine for the win...

remove the stats he got in the final quarter, or his production that quarter, you can tell the team was clearly gettin outplayed... for the first 2 quarters gettin toyed around, 3rd quarter barely hanging with them even with ellis only toying our backcourt....tj and green comes in changes the momentum of the game with the energy, gsw gased out and fire taken out...parker fuels the rage with more fire....
still wasnt happy with his game for the first 3 quarters....clearly very frustration watchin him play like that, just wish he had more consistency or provide something else when his offensive game isnt rolling...at least he should keep his opponent in check then allowing them have a career year against him

TP has never been the problem. TP gets dissed when he gets everyone involved and when he goes and gets his. He's been playing good all yr. They need to run TJ and TP more for a good change of pace.
Seriously though TP is sucking right now which is quite weird because he had a great summer with France NT and l'ASVEL. As DPG mentioned he is shooting 40% or less when his career average is around 50% thats a huge gap even if it's only 6 games. He is still giving a good amount of assists but he is not finishing at the rim anymore and defensively he is struggling, he is late, doesn't fight a lot around the screens... all are signs that athletically he is not at expected level. So whether he is washed up and it will take a little bit of time for him to adapt if he can whether he is temporally out of shape.
I personally don't question his motivation, a guy demotivated wouldn't have responded positively well to a coach yelling at him IMO.

I don't care what button timvp pushes, Tony will be just fine. He's 29 and his legs should have at least 2 more seasons in them.
I love to see Jefferson run the floor with parker, an instead of him throwing s ally-hoop he throws a bounce pass. Or tries to take it himself. I know you'll have seen it.
It does not matter who is playing. We do better when we share the ball.
We need to recruit Eva back to San Antonio for him so he can play like he used to.

Hopefully Parker can turn things around, its still early in a hectic schedule...but Parker looks like a s of his former self out there. Parker's significant decline has been noticeable for the past two seasons but in this small sample size it really shows. In a league thats loaded with length and athletic guards, Parker looks like he's lost a few steps. His shooting form, scoring ability, and even leadership/body language just looks
If Buford and the Spurs really want to improve the frontcourt, Parker's one of the few assets the Spurs got left...and it'd be worth trading him away if he can't turn on the legs anymore. Still early in the season though
Something is up. I don't think Tony has just gotten old, because dropoffs like that usually don't happen so suddenly. He was fine towards the end of last season, and aside from a couple bad games, played decent in the playoffs (even if he was outplayed by Mike ing Conley). I suspect it's either a nagging injury, lack of being in game shape (which isn't being helped by the condensed schedule and no chance to properly recover), or it's just a mental thing and he needs to get his head straight.
I expect the real Parker to show up at some point. I just hope it's sooner rather than later.
I disagree. In this league, players can age seemingly overnight. And Parker's an example of that kind of player since he's a high-mileage small guard that depends on his athleticism and ability to score in the paint. Also disagreed about how Parker played "decent" in the playoffs and a couple of games really matters in one round, he turned the ball over like crazy and failed to make his impact and really hurt the Spurs imo. Not saying they were going to win the series, but Parker's decline was noticeable especially compared to his vintage days, and he's supposedly healthy and the youngest of the Big 3 too
But I agree about hoping Parker can return to his better days. Parker without his speed and scoring ability is a very average player

The two games bolded seem to be the only two games anyone remembers Parker playing in the playoffs. Yes, 6-7 turnovers is inexcusable and yes, it's no surprise we lost those games. The only other problem Tony had was he had a poor shooting percentage in the first game, but considering he shot 51% the rest of the way through, you have to let a bad-shooting game go every now and then. He was probably pressing with Manu out against a team that very much had our number. It's not easy to get all those layup attempts against the likes of Randolph, Gasol, Arthur, Battier, and Allen, especially when you are the only guy out there they really have to worry about.
Otherwise, those types of numbers are pretty much what we can expect from Parker, and should be able to win games with. It certainly wasn't a series to write home to France about, especially since he got outplayed by Conley, but Parker wasn't our main problem against the Griz; our lack of a frontline was.

The problem with Parker is that he is a scoring point guard that is having trouble scoring. That doesn't bode well at all, especially if his court vision and jumpshot are around or below average.
He needs to learn from Manu. Example - Since Ginobili missed the playoffs a few season back, when is the last time you seen him go 1 on 3 in fastbreak situations? Or how many times does he get some spacing and shoot a 3 instead of driving hard down the lane everyplay like he used to 6-7 yrs ago. Look how he draws fouls, alot of it is done with trickery on the perimeter than going down the lane like he used to.
I am not gonna bash Parker, actually its amazing he has been able to put up good numbers considering in reality how limited his game is. When Manu started breaking down he had other things to go to like I stated above. As for Parker he has speed; Speed which is posessed by many points guards now. He has an iffy jumpshot (worse 3pt shot) and a limited passing game. Not to mention that his defense has wained over the years. Then again thats more of a team issue.
Just another reason why the team will be blown up after this season.
