you work for Apple?
I had to quit watching those things, I just follow the liveblogs at this point if I even look. This is the same company that started calling "Agents" in the call center "Advisors" because they wanted to be seen differently. They even gave us all red t-shirts that said Advisor with a little Apple on the frontI gave mine to a friend who worked at Thundercloud Subs and he used to wear it to work there.
you work for Apple?
Yup. Since 2005. I have been home based for about 18 months, it is awesome. I have my PC set up next to my work computer so I can keep my iMac work only.
And we never hear anything about anything unless we sign NDAs that say we never saw anything, which I would not care to violate.
I like Mac Computers. Its the hype on iPhones and iPads i cant stand.
but that explains your biased views.![]()
I prefer PCs myself. The 27" iMac they gave me for work about 6 months ago is awesome though.
Pretty happy with my 500 $ laptop PC
Macbook Air is nice, but overpriced
Didn't know there was a new one, I'll check it out.
Oh it all makes sense now, Lee!
In all seriousness I'm still using my HP Touchpad all the time. Makes a great ereader but I don't use it for much more than that.
I'll likely be buying an ultrabook this summer since they are what I've been wanting for a long time: Faster windows versions of the macbook air.
Yeah, which is why our new employee purchase discount we get every three years kicks so much ass! I wasn't even considering it until I heard about that.
I should work for Google and Verizon...get commision on how many people i was able to switch to Verizon for the Nexus. hahah
I've considered switching to a dumbphone/cheap contract and getting a network supported tablet device. But I don't know. It seems like a tablet offers little that a phone doesn't. It's still nothing compared to a desktop/proper laptop. It offers marginally better websurfing than a phone, esp. since phones are now Quad Core as well.
I think I'll stay with my phone for now. Hopefully the Samsung Galaxy 3 is released soon.
what do u have and are u unlimited data?
That new dell with the gorilla glass looks pretty nice BUT its almost as much as a MacBook air.
Slightly more, actually, from what I can tell. But $999 for the base model isn't horrible if you're a PC purist.
Haven't yet decided if a laptop is going to be what I want when I'm done with school (desktop and tablet just seems like a more practical pair), but I keep thinking that if I get a new laptop I should do it before Windows 8 is all that's available, and that XPS 13 is looking pretty sexy.
This.
Tablets are a fad![]()
I believe he has an Evo and Sprint with unlimited data.
Well Sprint is getting the Nexus so he has that option.
still with the "tablet is a fad"?![]()
Still true![]()
Tablet, as in an ipad? Yeah I thought that when it first came out. I didn't think it'd last. Guess I was wrong.
Ok, so I just read that the Ipad is the first tablet to have Bluetooth 4.0. This is pretty cool, because I have been using the same batteries in my touchpad keyboard for 8 months now and they are going strong.. this is with BT 3.0. From what I am reading, 4.0 will allow you to use the same batteries for years.
Bluetooth 4? What's the improvement?
Mainly the low energy part of it. There are a ton of applications for this (health monitoring systems, home automation, etc). For me? It means my keyboard batteries would last 4 times as long.![]()
