Nah, if we lose it will be to a classy coach, organization and a great Spurs team.

I'll wash 'em down with the usual, BigK diet orange.

They interviewed that guy after that picture came out and he said he was sitting there watching it all unfold and before he knew it, Artest was coming at him looking for anyone to pound on.

You're exactly right. I mean, isn't the media playing the role of feeding the public so they root for Detroit? I mean, the halftime show last night, how they show Mason on the corner of the screen, etc, all indicate that ABC wants the public to loooooooooooooove the Pistons.
The media is building themselves up for failure.
I'd say 80% of the audience are bandwaggoners, and when they kept hearing how Phoenix vs. Miami would be so much more entertaining, they will think that's really the case. This is self-actualizing prophecy. And now that Spurs and Pistons actually made it, they kept saying how the Pistons are better and should win. What is the casual fan who can't tell a box-out from take-out? THey are going to think that the NBA is a total joke, they are going to think that the inferior team have a great chance in winning because luck has more to do with winning than skills. These things turn people off. Instead, teach them about the game, educate them about the beauty of a well-time pick (vs. a moving screen), teach them about the importance of swinging the basketball to the opposite side, teach them about how Bowen is harrassing his man into missing shots rather than having them think that it's just coincidence that Bowen's man happen to miss shots for the 7th game in a row.
I am just shocked that they haven't figured this out yet.

They would have loved to see the Heast play the Spurs and they would also loved to see Shaq's prediction come true and beat the Spurs. The ratings are down this year.

Man, you guys suck. We haven't said anything like this on the Detroit boards. Chauncey doesn't have a y smile, either, that's just the way his mouth is. Ben doesn't flop. RIP doesn't flop. There are a lot of things I don't like about SA (msotly their holier-than-thou fans) but I don't voice them like this.
Ben and RIP doesn't flop? This is good.
BTW, I do think Ginobili flops, but who doesn't.
And I like Billups, I would love to have him on my team.

Although I don't respect "the flop" it's a players obligation to do anything he can get away with while helping his team win, be it flopping, grabbing, illegal picking, etc.

The most blatant one I've seen in these playoffs was when Tayshaun barely bumped Wade and Wade looked like he got shot out of a cannon, dude must have been in theatre and gymnastics!

I think their ultimate hope was Miami and Phoenix since those two teams aren't "boring".

Yeah, agreed. It backfired when the Spurs wrapped it up early.

    artest is a F*ing bag.
and the bas had the nerve to say his nba suspension was too harsh?

I really really hope he gets some type of actual jail time - 30 days 60 days whatever - although I'm sure he won't. most likely fine, comunity service or someother bull .

and Stephon jackson... god I'm so ashamed to say he ever played in SA. If he pulled that crap under pop he would've been traded by the end of the day. garaunteed.

Listen brother. I've been here from the start, talking mostly about basketball, having fun with some other "fun threads", but I've taken enough beatings after the loss's for everybody because certain Pistons fans only come back when the times are good. I've given tons of props to the Spurs. Have you been here all series? Probably not.
With the name Hulkarock, and the first two words of your post, "Listen Brother", I really.. really.. REALLY wanted to eat my vegetables, drink my milk and watch a little Wrestlemania III with all the other Hulk Hogan "Hulkamaniacs".

I'm not going to fight with you. You've said some pretty stupid things during the series, and to answer your insinuation, yes.. I *HAVE* been here the entire series.

As for that 'owned' pic, that's freaking hilarious. Unfortunately, that wasn't the guy that threw the cup.

I hate the fact that everybody forgets about Bob Segar and Motown because of Kid Rock and Eminem...please America...it's not Detroit's fault.
